I did what most people would of done when nominating themselves to run and I asked a current board member from both the LC and PDRL asking them in why the delay and that's what they told me plus the returning officer also told me on the phone there are a "few" issues that need to be sorted out.

I was also advised an apology will be on the Eels website within 24 hours.

So based on your assertion, either Geoff Gerard or Steve Sharp has given you confidential club information.
they just lost my vote as did you for posting it on here.

I'm here to tell the truth. If you nominated yourself to run and was told the ballot was cancelled, would you not want to know why it's been cancelled?

Or do you accept the excuse that "there are a few issues that need to be sorted out"?

We don't want to know whats going on in the board room or behind the scenes unless it can be substantiated, otherwise its just unsubstantiated allegations and will be deleted.

You guys should know our rules by now.

Just a reminder, we do have a Private Message function.

I wanna know if a vote for this Ray bloke is a vote for a true independent or if he is aligned to another ticket.

I'll vote for him if he'll declare himself as a non-aligned "Don Chip Candidate" and pledges to keep the bastards honest.

I have no time for puppets.

Yes, I would accept the reason (a reason is not an excuse by the way) that "there were a few issues that need to be sorted out, hence the ballot is delayed".

What I would also expect, given that I was no more entitled to confidential information than any other member, albeit I had nominated for a Board position, is to be told "unfortunately that is all I can share with you at this time due to the need to maintain Boardroom confidentiality."

Imagine if the PLC members had passed that Directors Code of Conduct motion at the last AGM - you wouldn't have been able to find out the confidential information that Sharp or Gerard shared with you as they would have been in breach of the Code of Conduct. Lucky for us on here that Roy's team got it voted down.

If you honestly think a Code of Conduct would stop the likes of Chris Barrett and co, then you are wrong. Have you read his articles? An Eels spokesman .......

I can bet my life savings (which isn't much) that Chris Barrett and co would still get any info they wanted even if there was a code of conduct.

Dennis did a great job also blocking that move if you recall.

The Code of Conduct was a myth and ploy to make the members think that no info would leave the boardroom, hence why the original speaker who got up made the point (if you recall who it was) purposely made the claim this needs to stop even though he is the no.1 culprit and still is today.

Stopping confidential information has to start somewhere otherwise we are all just as implicit in spreading it. So because a code of conduct won't stop all the leaks we should do nothing about it - is that your official stance as a Board nominee?

Do you think having a Code of Conduct would of stopped Chris Barrett from leaking information for the past 18 months?

If there answer you provide is a yes, then I'll cut Stagger's front and backyard grass in my wife's Sunday dress with her Dragons jersey on also.

Unfortunately whether we like it or not, we all know that the leaks will never stop. That's the way it's become and that's at all organisations and businesses (not just Parra believe it nor not). You just need to look at the 3 factions happening at the moment, the 3rd faction being Dennis and Mr Shepherd, will always gather info and spread it, now that it's clear that both gentlemen have split with their old team (Steve Sharp), they will do what it takes to rubbish them and Mr Shepherd is a current LC board member which makes matters even more interesting.

You see, all the people I mentioned above worked together 18 months ago, they are now against each other.

As you have stated, you won't be voting for me and I respect your decision.
