I didn't vote for any of our boys, if only we knew who we were playing in the other opening rounds so that we can get them to play more games and they'll be fatigued earlier on. Although it might help Sandow's confidence by playing in this match, might change my halfback vote.

Hopoate's smarter, more skilled and a better bloke. Folau is just bigger and faster.

I tend to agree. Trouble is, Folau is substantially bigger and faster.
If Hoppa can increase his speed over the off-season I'll be more than happy with him, though. I don't want Folau. I don't think we need him. I think we'd be paying an enormous sum for another superstar fullback who isn't as good as Jarryd Hayne, anyway.

The key to signing someone like Falou, is to set up the contract with major Third Party agreements to offset the impact in the salary cap. We possibly are better set up now than when JH signed the extnsions, that is how the Rorters, Bullscum and Donkeys get better resourced rosters

Hopefully this is what we can do in the future, a lot of the issues previously appear to have been due to the large percentage of contracts inside the cap. Just my thoughts, if that is the cas, then maybe Falou would be a good signing if it happened

If we can get him on the salary cap for say $650k-$700k then it would be an awesome buy. But if it is $1 million on the salary cap then there's no point to the signing.

I tend to agree, he is a huge talent and if the NRL wanna chuck in for some of his wages, we'd be mad not to take them up on the offer, however knowing his agent he will try and scrape up as mush commission as he can from whom ever he can.

I don't think we'd need him. We've enough edge forwards and I don't think he has the explosive power of any of them and they can all do the work that he does.

And yet Folau is 10 times the player that Hopa is at this point in time and has achieved 10 times more then him also. Go figure?

Pou, "10 times more" is a figure of speech, but you get the drift. He is everything that Hopa wants to be.

If Hopa doesn't find some real speed, then all his other attributes, will never really be maximized. Speed, speed speed, is the name of the game when it comes to outside backs in the NRL. Then their skills come to the fore. Without it, they will only be half the player that they could of been.

If he doesn't show speed next season, then I would cut him and sign Folau in an instant, if it came down to one or the other.

I don't know how smart Hoppa is, either. It wouldn't take a genius in his position to note that people think his father is a dickhead and attempt to choose a different path. He's probably smarter than Jamil, at least.
