Plus he's dropped 20kg since he last played so he's going to be a lot fitter, so if he only plays 30 minutes in that time he could be an absolute beast. Still think he'll need a good month, month and a half in the NSW cup though.

Has any team in the NRL used this middle half position over the course of the season and gone close to winning the comp? Why do we use it? It doesn't seem to work and over complicates things. With Watmough playing solid minutes in the middle surely we won't completely change our structure to accommodate Seph Paulo's amazing ball skills.

We used the middle half because our middle forwards were a weakness. Paulo allowed our halves to play wider and still get more touches than any other halves pairing in the NRL.

With Hayne gone and our forwards improved we will probably play more direct, eliminating the need for a middle half. Just like the good teams.

Although Sutton did start last year at middle half.

James Graham is pretty close to what you could call a middle half, although he runs it a lot more than Sef. Seffa's biggest problem is his (lack of a) strong running game. If he could run the ball up like Kenwards/Jraham do but could also pass like they did he wouldn't be blasted after every game.

If he had anywhere near that strong a running game he would be one of the game's elite players.

If he was a threat with ball in hand it would make his passing game even more dangerous.

Is there much of a chance of Folau or Lavaka getting a start in Round 1?
They were in favour for the Nines. I know it's a different game, but we did send over a pretty strong team. Maybe Arthur was showing his hand a little.

Wasn't toutai a centre in the lower grades? Might get his chance in there this year, don't really rate him on the wing

Robinson and semi have the wing spots , takarangai will be one centre. I reckon the other one is up for grabs but will go to morgan or champion first off.

Right, so to become a superstar he just needs to find a running, passing, and defensive game.

Seems about right

No I reckon if he found a running game he would be one.

His defense is passable and his passing game in my view is high level. If he had a secondary threat in attack he would go to another level.
