Perret is a better fullback than Hoppa.Busts tackles-safer and faster.

When i was on this forum last year saying hoppa been average i was bagged. Hoppa has lovely hands and a touch of class. He is an NRL player.Never will be a star in the game cause doesnt posses the qualities. He debut in a red hot Manly team that most players look good in.

He is a first grader.Better than Taka? Debatable .Taka has more attack and although people say he has been caught out in defense a lot of time he has rushed up to try and prevent the over lap.Where he would of been caught out if stayed where he was.
With semi/taka not an issue as Semi has Speed.Taka has impressed me thou. And at 25 and not realy stuck to one position yet he will get a lot better. He is also carrying an injury.
Hoppa is a smart player. And his dummy half runs are in top 5 in comp -He is stronger than last year. Im happy for him to stya but wouldnt get in a bidding war for him.He is not superstar.

Kelepi style release? So you mean we're going to lose a one dimensional attacker and a poor defender? Who is that?

To be fair on here people raved on best junior since Hindy when Kelpi came thru.
I agree that kelepi is no better than Terepo.Terepo is actually a bigger version.
Kelepi isnt big enough for a modern day prop and not fast enough outwide or skillfull enough. Some guys get caught out where they just arent ideal for a certain position.Half way inbetween. I think Kelepi fits this role. Might make a bench player and thats about it.

He is reffering to Pauli thou. Who i hope stays. Terepo could be on the outer but that would only due to $$

Rememebr who was here saying lets ask cowboys about Coote- I reckon they would of been more than happy to release.Killing it now.

2016 fullback options
zillman-playing out of position
Gordon- 1 yr only
Barba-not too keen but prob available
alex Johnston-could go ok there
Hiku- manly couldnt offer him enough if on wing.
Moss-panthers-very skillfull youngster-currently injured.Good for wenty IMO and may suprise.

In club - french will be 20.If fills out a bit might be a smokie.
robinson - worse case till something better comes along.

There is also Norman if sandow re-signs or Matterson form improves.
I bet there are a few under 20's fullbacks that might be worht a punt on

Where did I say he was too slow ?

He looks much more comfortable at centre and his defensive reads are very good, he also has good hands and can set his winger up, just look at what he did for Semi last year.

I think its just a simple fact that he plays well at centre but not so well at FB, regardless of his pace or lack of.

agreed

except the bit about semi - he was on the other side of the field, but we scored just about as many tries with the miriad of wingers on hoppa's side and a f**kload of that was due to hoppa making it happen

Kelepi's problem is that he's too muscular. Works himself too hard in the gym which means his muscles are too tight and will snap easily. He isn't too slow either, he was a winger when he was 15.

This is probably the most in depth scientific anatomical analysis of a player since Jarryd Hayne was deemed "too big for his knees".
