Surprised he isn't given a run in the qld cup to shake off the cobwebs 1st.

Confident he will play a good game none the less.

Yep, Boyd to fullback Kahu to wing apparently. Oates to the bench.

I'm going to claim that one ... predicted something like that would be a better balanced team.

Me and WB ... we think alike. :sarcasm:

Hope Boyd does well, I also think some time in Qcup would be handy but Wayne knows which players can go straight back into first grade.

Copley will get his place back next week when Hodges goes down again.

Why am I getting a bad feeling he is rushing back..

A quote from Bennett says he has trained 100% for 3 weeks without pulling up. If that is true then he isn't being rushed back. How much more training sessions does he need?

You don't put a bloke like Boyd in ISC either, he's a professional and an elite member of the game, he could also cop a serious injury, not worth it.

I thought he might have at least been eased back in on the wing, especially with Kahu returning.

Oh well, straight in the deep end for Boyd!

That decision might have been made alot easier due to Kahu also returning from injury, if he was still the incumbent fullback without time on the sidelines due to injury I think we would have seen Boyd play a game or two on the wing.

It's also a lot easier to make your return from a confidence-sapping injury like a snapped achilles in front of your home crowd at Suncorp against Penrith than in Townsville against the Cowboys.

Does Jack reed know how to pass the ball. 30 minutes gone and he has already died with it 4 times.

I think he forgets he's playing centre sometimes. He used to do it with Copley and Hoffman as well. As soon as he worked out that he was allowed to pass it they started scoring a ton of tries down that side.

Amazing what it takes for us to get a penalty..

Attack has been ordinary tonight

Someone needs to tell Hunt that he's rubbish at kicking and if the game's on the line he should only be thinking "run & pass".

How McGuire hasn't played origin yet is the mystery of modern times. He was great tonight.

Was at the game so couldn't hear commentary. When Moylan was over the dead ball line and touched it, surely that means it's dead? I'm not sure of the rule

Na, it touch a player on the way through.

Him being out simply makes the ball dead, not dead off him (similar to catching a kick off with a foot out).

That's what I thought. Made the game slow right down at the end.

Liked what I saw from Boyd first game back. I reckon Hunt has been playing with an injury the last few games. He doesn't seem to be taking the line on at all like he was in the first few games of this year and most of last year.

3. McGuire
2. Hodges
1. Milford
