It's a long season but given our next 7 games after this week are:

Parra.
Melbourne.
Bulldogs.
Souths.
WT.
Roosters.
Melbourne.

We lose this week. We will be gone simply will need to go on a huge run of wins. Given we can't keep the same team on the park even 2 weeks in a row. Seems impossible to get the required wins. Need to keep up with the 8 and come home strong.

I think you may be just a bit premature hitting the panic button considering we are still 2 weeks short of the first Origin game. Storm, Roosters and Broncos will all take a hit thru the origin series (and most likely for a period after). The heart the boys showed on Friday night with a depleted side and playing the form team is a good indicator the wins will come if not this week then soon enough.

Look at our run. We need a good solid winning streak probably wont get it until late in the season. So we need to keep atleast a 50/50 record until then. with our run that's possible to have to make up 2 games just to get to that stage makes it very difficult.

5/5 gives a chance 4/6 won't when many in front of us wont have any disruption through SOO

You really are a glass half empty kind of bloke aren't you mate? I have some great meds that may help with your outlook champ ;) LOL

Seriously though, I don't think it's all doom and gloom just yet - The next few will be key though as to where we are in relation to being competitive towards the end of the season.

I think we will be on fire towards the end of the year. Just have too big of a gap. As we showed on the weekend playing well doesn't mean you always win

I am hoping we can come home with a wet sail and string a big clump of wins together once we get more players back.

3 wins on the trot and things will look much rosier, just gotta get everyone healthy and keep them that way. It looks like we will be unaffected by origin which could be huge for us.

True.
Though looking at the fixtures it doesn't look like it will help much where playing depleted teams is concerned.

Save for game 3 (8th of Jul)

Which I assume would mean we'd play Souths on the 3rd minus Inglis (who'll be in camp), and possibly the Roosters minus a few on the 18th. Though 5 days turnaround will likely be enough for them to field full strength.

If you are talking about avoiding the all too frequent Origin injuries however, then I am in agreement

Well I didn't check the schedule tbh but it usually fairly disruptive so hopefully we can find some benefit out of that. If get the roosters without their origin stars that's a bonus as it will likely be 6 or 7 players including their halves.

Our next three games are very winnable.

The players would have drawn a lot of confidence from that brisbane game.Only if we can iron out the mistakes in the critical moments of the game.

Panthers easily in the top 4 if injuries, and suspensions, are brought down to a minimum.

Sowards defense needs to be sorted. It is always a liability.
It is just like Chris Sandow gets targeted at the line.
Look how improved Benji Marshall in defense has gotten.

Reckon he saved more leading the up and in defence on the left hand side than that one he cost us, we've missed him awfully there. Was disappointing that with the game on the line he slid off to the side and didn't make Oates at least run right over him.

I'm confident that we will build momentum from this point and come home with a wet sail. We will slip into the 8 and be the surprise package in the final series. You heard it here first!

Hope Moylan doesn't somehow get picked for orgin it will be an easier win for us if Moylan plays

So you switched to the Panthers bandwagon now?

Makes sense since you're obsessed with Matt Moylan. You're not the first to jump on his bandwagon. Many girls are obsessed with him.

I was wondering the same thing. Since when did that tool start supporting Penrith?
Hey Rhynob, don't worry. Moylan won't be picked for "orgin".
