Taumalolo and Carney? Lol you guys will believe anything you read.

SBW would have been on between 700-800k. Mini a decent amount and crucially he also freed up long service allowance. We also lost FPN who was on around 300-350k.

And now we've lost RTS and will be unable to re-sign Tupou. But yes, we haven't lost anyone!

And because we've signed Joe Burgess and were looking to sign Sam Tagatese for mega bucks we're suddenly over the cap again. Hilarious.

The key to good cap management is simple. Don't sign mugs like Sandow for 550k. And don't sign wingers to large contracts. We do neither. We used to in the post-Fittler era and that was a disaster.

We learned.

If FPN was one 300-350k GWH, Guerra, Napa, Cordner and Friend must be on mega bucks.

You honestly think Burgess a winger came cheap?

Do the Roosters have anyone on their books who is eligible for the long service allowance Mini's retirement freed up? SKD comes to mind, but can't think of anyone else.

Aubusson.

And yes, Joe Burgess didn't sign for big money. He's only young and came for the opportunity. The club knew re-signing Tupou would cost too much and wanted a more shrewd alternative.

Aubusson is worth as much as any player on the books
Agreed, he actually took unders when he last signed, hopefully we can get him what he wants next time. God knows he deserves it.

In regards to how much Burgess will be on it was reported at being $90,000 which is peanuts, and a massive upgrade on the £11,000 he was getting at Wigan.

Great point about Napa, Cordner etc. The Tigers offered Moa $300k, I was told this by a Tigers board member, to leave last year ,but he chose to resign with the Chooks.:sarcasm:

They have resigned and upgraded Napa, Cordner , JWH, SKD, Guerra and will Maloney too. What about Ferguson's upgrade ffs! Still they can make plays for Johnston, Foran etc...Politis brown paper bags - recession and cap proof...

The chooks reckon they are still spending SBW's 1.5million per year cap saving ... but the NRL still don't notice anything odd...

Gee love your "facts".

Maloney re-signed did he? Really?! Would be news to Maloney and to the Roosters.

Paying a starting prop $300K is good business when you consider the average for the top 25 players is 260K within the salary cap.

You miss the point my friend - if he is copping 300k from the Rorters, what are the others on?:sarcasm:

I didn't know Tommy Smith was the Roosters Recruitment Officer. Why should he have to explain anything about a "rumour"? What's your source? Tomato? BBQ? or did you just pluck that figure out of your arse.
