Johnston was never going to the Roosters, all along he was always going to re-sign with Souths.

Johnston has chosen loyalty and where his heart is over money. He wouldn't go to the club he strongly hates anyway.

The Roosters were never serious about Johnstone as he would never be more than a stopgap player. We have better talent than him in Latrell Mitchell who is the plan to play Fullback from 2017, the idea is that Fergo will move there next season with Mitchell on the Wing with Burgess on the other Wing.

Lyon will be 6 next season.

Hiku is too good to keep on the wing, and both Gutho and Trbo need to be in the side.

Sounds just like the plan where Mini would play fullback in 2014 and RTS would move there for 2015 onwards....

We all know how that ended up.

I stand by my figure,Roosters offered more because Rts said no.Im not saying Johnston is worth that much but half the players off contract this year are getting way more than they are worth.

lol you talk so much shit, the Roosters recruitment team don't rate Johnston that highly as a fullback.

The club is content with replacing RTS internally and made that decision quite early on. All this talk about us going out and spending big money on a fullback is rubbish. A lot of the money that was going to to go to RTS will now be used to retain Maloney & Ferguson.

Maloney will re-sign for a further 2 years, Ferguson a further 3 and I guarantee big money wont be spent on a fullback.

Feel free to quote me on this at seasons end, your 'mail' is dodgy.

Matagi to be released by the Warriors immediately to sign with the Roosters. A lot better signing than Tagatese if you ask me

Mitchell won't be going anywhere, he was a large part of the clubs reluctance to sign RTS last season which imo was a big mistake. The club has already told Toops he won't be at the club next season. Jennings is off contact at the end of 2016 and more than likely will not be retained freeing up sufficient cash to upgrade Mitchell.

Strong mail Toops won't be at the club, he has got a better offer somewhere else, especially after the extra $$$$ for re signing Kenny Dowall. I am hearing Mini and Trent Robinson are looking very closely on speedster Taylor who will be training with the first grade side as well very shortly

A pretty good source whos in regular contact with souths officials.Given some of the figures being thrown about for players this year I would think its not far off the mark and Given Tedesco got offered 700-800k by canberra and Rts around 800k by the warriors I think its about market price for Johnston.

Well to me it sounds like your "in the know mate" is full of it after Johnston re-signing with Souths.

Thanks for the reply though. Appreciated.

True but Peats, Foran & Carney though are very good players Norman's on the average side of things imo
There aren't any spines that don't have that sort of player anymore. Warriors have 3 freaking awesome players in the spine and 1 average for next year. It's becoming harder to have 4 top players there. They key is finding the right balance.

Toops hasn't even been offered a contract. I can't see Taylor being anywhere near First grade. He is about 10kgs too light. Joseph Manu would be a more likely proposition in case of injury. Mitchell won't be eligible until he turns 18 later in the year.

I am hearing DCE will reverse his decision and decide to stay at Manly. The Nate Myles move to Manly is very significant. They have the same manager.

DCE to be at Brookvale long term. You heard it here first.
