I agree with him. I'm not expecting Pearce to carry his club form into Origin. If we win I think it will be on the back of our forward pack which I really like the look of.

After Josh Reynolds man of the match effort today, Pearce better have a blinder on Wednesday or Daley is going to look pretty f**king stupid.

Why?
Josh Reynolds is hopeless.

Reynolds has played, by far, his best game of the season today. The rest of his 2015 season so far has been rubbish.

Pearce hasn't proven anything at State Of Origin level and Reynolds has. We had a NSW halves pairing that wasn't broken and Daley decided to fix it. Do you think QLD won 8 years in a row by chopping and changing their team based on club form or did they select them based on how they perform at origin level?

Reynolds hasn't proved shit at Origin level. He wasn't even that good for us last series, in fact game three he was terrible.

I have no problems with Daley not wanting him.

The only thing Reynold has proved at Origin level is that he's not up to playing at Origin level.
Poor defence, awful kicks, no passing game and disgraceful discipline.
We won despite him, not because of him.

The Courier Mail vs Telecrap joust is pretty funny.

Who cares who wins? It's just an exhibition game.

I didn't care (actually supported Queensland) until those merkins beat us eight years in a row. They reinvigorated Origin.

Origin is just a dinosaur that has grown way too big. It has far too much of an impact on the NRL season these days. In the beginning it was an interesting concept - and it was something that players could aspire to. Not any more. Too much emphasis on winning at all costs means selecting players who have been there before, rather than players who are in form or deserve to be rewarded with a spot on an elite team. And, unfortunately, it's too much of a cash cow to ever get rid of. It has just about destroyed the NRL competition. I hate to think what it will be like in twenty years time.
Each NRL club will probably play each other once; we won't worry about a grand final; and the team with the most number of points after 16 rounds will win the premiership. For the rest of the time there'll be a ten-game state of origin series.

I care and I care a lot. It's a big deal and a lot of fun around here since I live so close to the border. Apart from that there's not much to get excited about when it comes to the NRL when you're an Eels supporter. NSW might have only won one series in the last 9 years but that's still one more than the Eels have managed.

I love it and will certainly watch but I just don't have the interest this year without Hayne there.
