I was in favour of privatisation up until this whole thing went down over the last couple of days. Now, I'm not.

I've said in the other thread that the worst thing about this episode is what has gone on here, and I stand by that. But I also stand by the fact that shit happens in a democracy (which are generally filled with idiots, anyways) and we have the right to make those mistakes with our choices.

We should decide who runs our Club. Sure, it means those who won't (or can't) let go of their politics will embarrass themselves regularly but I'd rather read thirty pages of drivel than risk the likes of Spags ever get the chance to buy this Club.

Personally, I couldn't care less who runs the club, as long as it functions well and we are winning games.

Maybe having one voice at the top (from an owner, not a board made up of anyone who can stand for an election and get elected if he has enough mates) might be the thing we need?

It would definitely stop the endless infighting, faction vs faction nonsense and board elections getting media coverage making the club look much worse than it should.

Maybe Rupert Murdoch could buy the club, then tell the telegraph to get off our backs?

Mate the DT are already listed as one of our sponsors.

That's worked out well so far.

In hindsight, getting rid of Fitzgerald was one of the dumbest decisions ever. We were slightly bad then now we are Souths from 2003.

Can't agree with that. We were just unlucky that the only alternative at the time did not work out any better. Thereafter both merkins are hanging around like stray dogs and biting passers by.

I don't know which option is preferable - privatization or the NRL stepping in and implementing their own fully independent board - but the one indisputable truth is that the warring factions must all be swept aside and eradicated before the club can move forward.

Through sheer incompetence, an insatiable hunger for power and putting internal politics above the good of the club, the factions have repeatedly proven themselves to be nothing more than a rapidly spreading cancer. The place is rotten to the core.

Looking back at the numerous coaches and CEOs that have come and gone over the past decade it is now abundantly clear that, whether they were the right person for the job or not, none of them ever stood a chance. They were sabotaged - some of them deliberately, others simply casualties of the evils above them.

So, to be honest, I really couldn't give a shit which players we sign or don't sign, who coaches the team or which masochist walks the plank as our next CEO. Until the factions are eradicated forever and the club run by a fully independent, professional board with no emotional ties, no agendas and no motivations other than ensuring the club prospers, there will be no change.

I'm with Gronk.

Fitz was running the place into the ground - he shot himself in the foot with his stupid 'we won't exist in 5 years' talk.
Who knew that Spags was gonna be so bad?? All seemed rosy in the first few months....

As it sits, we just need to get rid of both of them, and their factions, and let someone else take care of things (or privatise!)

It's almost come to the point where we need to go into voluntary administration (the NRL Franchise) and allow administrators to run the shop. That way at least the "factions" can f**k off.

The problem with that however is that the LC chuck in $millions$ per year and I'm guessing that they would be reluctant to fund something that they no longer own or administer.

Q: Benny, With all the rubbish happening at Parra, surely the NRL must be able to step in and sort something out?

Self-determination = freedom. The more we give up self-determination (full-responsibility/liability) the more we descend into slavery (limited responsibility/liability).

Privatisation represents complete loss of self-determination. Now there is a private power structure in place telling others underneath them how to think, feel and act = slavery, meaning, you can choose whatever you want to think, feel and act but only with whatever we've provided for you.

LOLLLLLLLLLLL

This is what Freemasonry (privatisation = socialism = communism = dictatorship) is all about.

In a supermarket do you have choice or freedom?

In the whole of the Freemasonic world that is "The System", you only have choice, you do not have freedom.

I think it was way back in the 70s Casper?
They played the long game, and now stand on the verge of victory. 60 more years, and the plan will be in play...

Maybe you are joking but it seems you are also aware of the truth behind gradualism and how Freemasons work to their master/master's plan as in projections, forecasting, business plans, business models, etc.

Privatise it, woukd be the best thing ever.

It will happen sooner or later, let it happen now, time to get with the times.

And while doing it get rid or Morgan.
