Well the ground is too small. However I'm not sure the demographics are souths hating or anything. It's just full of rich people instead of poor now days. I was in redfern a few weeks ago to see an exhibition at the carriageworks and there are still plenty of souths stickers and flags on the houses.

Atmosphere at Redfern is unparalleled.

Im pretty sure Redfern can fit 10. could work, but you'd need to charge 60 dollars a ticket to compensate.

Might work for a once a year thing?

and i must say, there's something kind of nostalgic about watching two first grade teams play top quality football at a ground that looks like it's stuck in the 1980's and about to fall down around them...

but i think doing it every 2 weeks like manly do is a bit over the top..

I doubt the majority of Manly fans care .
Looks great on tv .
Makes me wish I was there amongst it.

Are you kidding me? The NRL don't want to be associated with this shit:

hahaha
each one of those shitholes is worth more than the average house in Brisbane.

and if they have an inside toilet and powerpoint, would be worth more than double the average house in Brisbane.

not wrong
I was walking down Eveleigh street not long ago ...past the tent thingo.
I was surprised at all the luxury cars parked outside the townhouses.

I still gave old mate begging at the station a few coins for old times sake though.

It was a pretty rough suburb but being literally next to the CBD meant it was just a matter of time before all the millionaires moved in. My barber is in Redfern but on Bourke St so I have to walk down Redfern st from the train station.

Its funny because there is still a bunch of public housing up around morehead st and young st (poets corner and all that) so there is still the stereotype of redfern. I walked down there one time and this young bloke walked past without a shirt on with blood pissing out of face like he had just been in a fight. So you have these massive eyesores full of the less desirable types and directly across the road on Telopea st there are 1.5 million dollar townhouses. So there is this divide between old Redfern and new. Old will lose eventually. Money wins in the end.
