Issac is a great player but you can almost count on him to stuff up when it matters most.
He's done silly things over the years at all levels. It appears now that our usual, very effective combo has been put at risk again.Arguably our second most valuable player could be MIA again for at least 3 wks.
Luckily last year we managed to win the comp without him on the field.Thank goodness Koroisau stood up!!
As I said;if he fights it & wins----fine,great!!!He should definitely fight the charges though IMO, ,as on the surface his sins don't look all that serious to me.However,Issac has an unsavoury record which will be held against him---so he very probably has a very substantial chance of losing due to his poor history.
If he loses he'll cop possibly 5 wks.If Carter performs well in those 5 wks I'd definitely keep him there.
If we're still in the running at that stage is Madge going to alter a winning combo for a player who hasn't played for 6 wks; & is leaving the club anyway!!
Debuting at 6 against us? If I was Madge I'd put Stewart or Inglis there.. I don't like Keary at all but even I think he should get off

if the 2 choices are: him not fighting the charge and missing 3 weeks, or fighting the charge and possibly missing 5 weeks, and there isn't much chance of him getting off, then i hope he doesn't fight the charge so he can play week 1 of the finals. we might win some games before the finals with carter/mcinnes at dummy half, but for the big finals games, having luke is very important i reckon
But what if Carter absolutely kills it in the next few weeks[if Issac gets 3 wks]--where does that leave Issac who is flying the coop??

i don't really like stewart at five eighth. if keary and sutton are both unavailable, then i wouldn't mind them trying cody walker whilst the other 2 are out. who knows what injuries happen later this year. it wouldn't be bad for him to get a bit of experience in case there is some bad luck with injuries later in the season. i also think at full strength, glenn stewart should play lock, with sutton and mcqueen as the starting 2nd rowers. mcqueen usually plays better out wide where there is a bit more space to run into. he can use his speed better and run onto the ball with speed into the holes like a centre does, especially when attacking the tryline
i gotta agree with this. i don't think he meant to give away the penalty. i reckon it was an accident. cam smith and issac luke are the top 2 dummy halves in the game, and without luke the chances of going back to back is reduced big time! we can win games without him, but i want him back for the big finals games

It will probably be Sutton at 5/8 if Keary is unavailable.
inglis at 6 weakens the fullback spot. gi makes good metres on the kick returns which starts the set of 6 off well, and there is always a chance he will make a break from it. i like aj on the wing, but not much at fullback. stewart to me is a back rower who can do a bit of play making, but isn't really a half. if inglis stays at fullback, he can play a bit like a five eighth in attack at times anyway. if keary is out, but sutton can play, then i'd have sutton at five eighth. cody walker has been playing very well in reserve grade (bears nsw cup)
hmm if that happens, then for luke's first game back, madge might start with carter for the first 20 mins at dummy half, with luke playing the last 60 mins, and carter moving to the backrow or interchange, or luke starting the game, and carter playing in the back row (depends on injuries/suspensions), or getting a place on the interchange
Cody is on standby though it looks like.
Won't happen imo.
I'd have Stewart play there.
You don't like Keary well I can't stand J. Reynolds.
 I can't stand him too man. Too inconsistent/dumb.
100percent again.
We are truth speakers alien.
Lots of guys on LU can't handle our truth talk!!!!
I understand what lafai is saying, against the dogs big forwards it may be better to have a stronger more robust 5/8, makes sense.
