I understand what lafai is saying, against the dogs big forwards it may be better to have a stronger more robust 5/8, makes sense.

That's what I've been thinking too.

Also in a very big match coming to the business end of the season imo it's not a good time to debut Cody.

100percent again:D

Fair enough!!

So I take it you are OK on Issac taking the early plea for crimes one would think were defensible. He is officially on two charges---can he fight them separately??

With Issac's very poor record they'll probably stick it to him so it looks like the side goes with another player for at least 3 matches.
Carter appears the best choice.

Might not be a good time of year to debut a half but Maguire should select Cody Walker for this match. Sutton went off with a hamstring injury last game and already has a bicep injury. If Sutton plays 6 and goes off injured early then it will be a gift game for the Bulldogs

If Cody Walker starts badly you can hook him and then move Sutton to 6

If I'm guilty of shop lifting ten times , then, on the eleventh time I'm not even in the country when the theft takes place, does my previous 'guilty's' have a bearing.

I think not.

From what I saw, the shoulder charge is bullshit, he's merely protecting himself. The other tackle could be more serious, but if you watch the replay closely you will that Luke does attempt to nullify the effects of the tackle on the fullback.

Of course, all of that means absolutely nothing with the NRL judiciary. There is not a brain between them nor an individual that is not corrupt and self serving. Should f**k the lot of them off and bring back Comens (dead I think)

Only a total moron would play an injured Sutton at 5/8. He, slow as he is, will be electric with a f**king bicep injury - won't he, not to mention his hamstring.
Pray to christ even Maguire isn't that timid, conservative and resistance to change.

Firstly Keary has to be suspended, if that happens Cody could be at #6 or on the bench, otherwise Madge will select Sutto at #6 and use Gifty as back-up if required.

Yep I want Issac to take the early pleas. Imo he won't win fighting either of those charges.

The judiciary imo don't like Souths and they definitely don't like Issac that's for sure.

Week 1 of the finals we definitely need Issac. We can't afford to have him out for 5 weeks.

Yep Carter is the best choice imo too.

Also Doyen at about this time last year the judiciary was finding anyway possible to charge our players. I remember when Issac was tipped on his head by Ennis and Issac kicked his feet up and was charged. Issac had a long judiciary hearing where he said I feared I wouldn't be able to feed my kids again. Remember that Doyen???? In the end Issac got off.

Remember some of our players were charged for crusher tackles when they weren't, they were just solid tackles. McQueen and George were charged on this from memory.

My point is at this time of year our players need to be careful as the judiciary will pounce on anything to contribute to trying to stop our momentum and going deep into the finals.

Last year from about Round 23-24 onwards Rorters and Bulldogs players didn't even get charged (Jackson, Ennis, Morris, Guerra, JW Hargreaves, SBW) come to mind now but their were others who I can't specifically remember for chicken wing tackles, lifting tackles, shoulder charges etc........... but of course any slips up from us were cited. We overcame and conquered last year doyen and I'm fired up for the coming weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Keary he should just take the early plea and miss 1 week. If he fights it I only see him losing and missing 2 weeks which would be a major blow.

Or Madge may put Cody on the bench as cover for the halves and maybe for hooker if needed. Or Madge may use Stewart at 5/8 if needed.

I know Cody hasn't played hooker before but if Carter got an injury I'm sure Cody could fill in and get the job done.

Then again if Carter got injured Clark is also able to fill in at hooker.

Also there is a bit of a chance that McInnes may play off the bench. He's not too far away from returning from the ankle injury.

Our players do need to be sensible & careful--that's what worries,& annoys me about Issac.
Two errors of judgement will probably see him out for 3 wks[which is too much,IMO]--& this silliness could drastically affect our whole season.

I'm sorry but I don't have a lot of sympathy for Issac--it craps me that this has occurred; but I'm not at all surprised!!

I also notice that his kids are still alive & look particularly healthy!!

I can see your frustration and passion.

I am frustrated too in Issac, he has brain explosions and also technique issues with his tackling. Issac didn't mean any of it though. I love the way Issac always competes and gives his all. Come finals Issac will be vital to our chances.

In that incident where he was on report for kicking out as he was on his head, I honestly reckon Issac didn't know he was kicking out at Ennis' face. It was just a natural reaction that anyone would do. Imo Ennis should have been charged in that incident for putting Issac on his head in the first place. But of course the judiciary is soft and let the menace off!

The club would have told Issac to speak about his kids in the hearing, I don't think we should be harsh on Issac for saying this. He shouldn't have even been charged and having a hearing in the first place.

I just hope our players don't get antagonised by the Dogs on Friday and do something to put themselves on report. Of course if the Dogs do shoulder charges/high tackles, lifting tackles I reckon the judiciary will let them off. With Souths it's a different story as I've mentioned before.

I would try something radical and bring Gray back in, reschuffle the backline and move Dylan Walker to hooker. He can handle the defence and would be electric from dummy half. Leave the forwards as they are and cover Keary with Cody Walker... Finally rest Sutton completely because it's better to lose him for a week now than 4 when it counts

Definitely rest JS for the reason you state.

I'd also give Cody a run--there is no doubting he's a class player--he should be better in top company;unless overawed!!

I would put Carter at dummy half--this bloke could be anything!!

Dylan won't be playing hooker. It will most likely be Carter. Carter could play 60mins with Clark playing hooker for about 20mins.

McInnes is an outside chance to return this week. If he returns I'd play him off the bench.
