Bro do you even fact check?

Kelly's first game of the year was in round 10, which happens to be the first game Paulo missed. Now that doesn't mean Paulo was dropped because Kelly came in - there could certainly be some coincidence in there, and I'm sure there was, since they did play together on four occasions later in the season (in rounds 16, 20, 21 and 24, after injuries had torn us up). But even though it's not conclusive, this fact supports my argument more than yours. What I believe happened is that when Kelly came into the team, Arthur changed his gameplan, and picked his bench with a view to not needing a middle half at any stage of the game. Therefore Paulo missed out.
It is been made clear multiple times that BA had limited control over who he picked and he picked both degois and Paulo when it was clear they were not suited to be on the bench together. If Edwards doesnt get injured imo sef doesn't see half the footy he saw this year.

Until round ten he played in every game Arthur ever coached in first grade, including 2012. He consistently played the same way without getting dropped, and was only finally removed from the team when Kelly replaced Sandow (and it was clear the latter wouldn't be here next year).
Yet as soon as the opportunity arose he dropped him and didn't bring him back even with major injury toll, he was always a back up.
I understand you believe Paulo's release to the Sharks proves he was disobeying the coach's orders but if that was the case he would have been axed last year, instead of playing every game.
No. An assumption, probably a fair educated assumption but still incorrect.. I've always had these views of him irrespective of where he is next year. His release doesn't bother me as I doubt he would have seen first grade footy anyway.
Personally, given he was re-signed so late last year, I thought Paulo would be a backup from round one. I was surprised he played so much first grade, especially early on.
Yet you believe BA based a game plan on a back up? Thats a dumb assumption. I think there is a role fore a 'middle half' in thr NRL. When DCE started he very much was a middle half with foran on left and GStewart on the right. Paulo was nothing more then a very ppoor mans Taylor - forward who thinks his a halfback.

Actually he was very effective last year, hitting the decoy runner when the defence cheated out to the half. He was behind only Norman for LBAs (my favourite!) He was less effective this year for whatever reason, probably due to the loss of Hayne and the inclusion of Watmough. Or maybe his shit just fell out of his showbag with Norman yelling at him.
I would agree his ball playing was probably more a game plan last year but more probably because BA was playing with what he had and Sandow was so erratic. By bringing in watmough i think BA showed he wanted to play a more direct game.

Btw i do enjoy your posts, you know how to rub people the wrong way. We just see the game differently

No, the gameplan was based on Sandow and Norman both being best suited to running the ball two (or more) passes wide. This requires a playmaker amongst the middle forwards, and we also have Edwards and Gower for this role.

Thats a dumb assumption.

Well you're the expert. You continually jump to the wrong conclusions when it comes to other posters. If what I say doesn't make sense to you do you even consider that you might be making false assumptions? Just because I explain Paulo's role you assume I'm talking him up even though I already said we have other players capable of playing that role? Poor assumption mate.

Which wrong conclusions? Both Edwards and gower play completely different passing at or the line and more. Often to a forward or support player. Paulo on the other hand ball plays well before the line - i.e he plays sideways not direct. All 3 ball playing forwards but gower and Edwards are very different to Paulo!

That I claimed Arthur built the gameplan around Paulo. My point is that he made a gameplan requiring a middle half, and Paulo was often the only one available for that role. Gower and Edwards played plenty of edge forward over the past two years, meaning there was more opportunity for Paulo to play middle half (or whatever you want to call it).

No they're just better runners. But they all play at the line. Paulo didn't just play out the back, he played short to the 'decoy' runner as well. That's the whole point. If the middle half is just going to drop it out the back every time then he's not holding the defence up at all.

And Paulo got plenty more LBAs than either Gower or Edwards, though of course, he handled the ball a lot more.

Why people try to explain anything to Pau? He is a dimwit. No one likes you Pau apart from Fatso and Barry'O and your alias's Phelen and the other one I can not think of right now.

Morgan is worth a minimum contract in my opinion. For a guy who is obviously a back up, hes played way too many NRL games but thats not his fault. There are many worse players to have played NRL.
Absolutely agree re Folau. I dont get the love for this guy at all. If he is on any more than 80k its too much based on what hes shown thus far. Yes hes scored a few trys because of his size but his shortcomings are many.

Not that it matters but I would suggest Pou is probably smarter than most people on here.
He just likes to have a reasonable debate about things which some people take as argumentative but to suggest he is a dimwit or simpleton is not accurate.
