And pray tell, on what basis do you base your conjecture?

On the basis of him taking us to 6th this year?

Or that he was absent for most of last year?

Perhaps he took us to within one game of the grand final in 2013?

I just love the entertainment here.

So many comedians.

Should have been 4th place.

His fault the ASADA fiasco happened.

No Carney did.

ASADA.

Oh and his batshit boring safety first style of footy that will always fail when it matters.

time will tell .
Now we have actual halves you might be surprised.
I seriously doubt there is a coach alive who could have got us any further with the guys we had this year.

The boring safety first style more than likely kept us in it as long as it did.
Mind you I think this year was a massive improvement on past years in attack.
Maloney has runs on the board and Flano while being stubborn can surely see this.
I am confident he has signed him on his flair that robbo lacks.

well yeah that's right carch

this is the best side that Flanno has had. He has a gun half that unlike carney isn't a crazy person.
He has an attacking upgrade on robson in the likes of townsend.

He has two genuinely exciting attacking players who are both young. he's never had that

the forward pack is still strong

we have Mick Ennis.

He needs to adapt to what he now has and move to a more attacking based game where we score more points and win bigger and crack that top 4.

there also appears to be no outside distractions at the moment.

Despite Flanno f**king the club over with his involvement in the ASADA crap, he has coached us to some lofty positions recently.

Whilst I don't like our playing style, it's proven to be a winning style. Now we have Maloney, a bit more refinement focussing on a more attacking game should see us there or thereabouts.

Still worried about our ageing forwards though....

well we all have to admit that this is the end of the window.
2016 is the big year.

because after next year, we will likely lose Heighington, Gallen and Lewis. massive re tooling in the forwards. and we also have to pay val.
to my knowledge theres no guns coming through the ranks in the forwards are there?

Time will tell. Unless he tweaks his gameplan I don't see us really doing any damage in the finals. Maloney is the key obviously so lets hope he isn't shackled by Flanno.

All said and done the guy is a cancer on the club and should not be anywhere near the joint.

game plan was designed to fit around robbo.
Maloney is only about 50 million times better.

Game plans are bullshit anyway.
They all play the same bloody way.
It just comes down to who has the best player who can pull shit out of their arse when needed...eg morgan in the GF

I dont think we play anything like the cowboys, broncos, storm etc. Heck we've had 3/4 years of flanno and still cant run the stock standard backline decoy move 9 times out of 10.

I wonder if Fergo is referring to the Sharks in this quote it sounds like Gal and Co
“I won’t bad mouth my old clubs but this club (the Roosters), what they do is make you feel like everyone’s equal,” Ferguson told The Locker Room podcast.

“At some places there’s a hierarchy and you’re getting told what to do.

We dont play like them because they have had at least 4 of the best players in history in their positions.
All ball playing/attacking positions
We have had a rookie , a bloke who drinks his own piss and Robbo .
Not really a fair comparison .

You did say they all play the same...but that fricken block play that we could never get right the whole time we had robbo. Thats poor coaching.

I bet it works next year .

Maybe it will. Doesn't explain the 4 years of failed attempts. If you want to put that down to Robbo then they either didn't practise it properly or failed to see that it was beyond the team.

if he was a shit as you blokes say, blokes like Maloney wouldn't go near him.

I'm guessing maloney and co would know a bit more about the game than anyone in here.
You know having played it at the very top level.

Flanno is a good coach, and a good man manager. But he has no guts to stand up to his own players. That will be his downfall.

He would make an absolutely terrific recruitment officer.

Standing up to players especially club legends or club favourites can be a disaster too.
Jason Taylor and a bloke called Chris Anderson say hello.
