Walker had a very bad attitude so Souths got rid of him. Walker didn't take responsibility and didn't want to learn from his mistakes.

Burgess is being finalised with TPA's. No cap dramas.

McQueen is ordinary that's why we want him gone.

Grant is a plodder who falls over too.

Souths want to offer GI an upgraded contract too.

Burgess will be on 500k under the cap.

The rest are TPA's that are being finalised which is holding back the deal being finalised.

McQueen deserved 300k 18months ago due to the fact he played origin.

Since then his form has plummeted.

McQueen is worth 200k these days. It's handy he can play in the backs too.

To be fair, the only one of those players to be on 1/2 decent coin would have been Hodges.

No reason to upgrade GI's contract. He is signed up to end of 2017 on good money and Souths should hold him to that contract period. If GI wants to move for family reasons in 2018 , then money should not be the object and Souths should not worry about 2018 now. Up to GI to show his value over the next two years and Souths should be considering GI's replacement be it 2018 or 2019.

Agree with moving on McQueen and Grant , as long as we do not have to pay overs to move them.

As for Walker , still some Manly fans think we are paying some of his contract for 2016. Hello , Walker asked for release from contract , if he agree , he is a free agent and assume whoever signs him pays his full contract whatever it is. Sure it will be more than what Souths offered else Walker would not be asking for release.

As for Roberts. If he wants to return to Sydney , he will join Souths , if he has matured and wants to manage himself like a professional elite athlete. If not , then souths are better off without him.I think he will return to Souths . Goodwin may be released to allow this move.

Martin Kennedy asked to be released from his Broncos contract ... Yet we still had to pay a big portion of his contract...

GI has a get out clause at the end of 2016. I thought you'd know this!!!

Some Manly fans have no idea. What you say re Walker is mostly correct. Walker got paid out a small amount on his contract from Souths. Dylan's lawyer was disgusted with the small amount. Souths did the right thing though!!!!

Goodwin won't be released for Roberts. Madge likes Goodwin due to his experience and leadership as we have lots of young backs coming through. If we need to release someone to accomodate Roberts it would be Gray or McInnes.

He dropped Goodwin as soon as their was a suitable replacement in 2014
He shifted Goodwin out of his preferred position of centre literally the first game auva'a was available for selection in 2015. If gray wasn't injured their might of been a possibility that Goodwin would of been dropped for Auva'a
It took a long time for Souths to sign Goodwin for 2016, it was only after other options dried up that souths resigned him.
If the chance to replace Goodwin with Roberts came up i don't think maguire would think twice at taking him.
Mcinnes will likely start the season as the 1st Choice hooker, don't see souths getting rid of him (after losing peats, korisau and luke in consecutive years)

Bronco's call. Obviously they did not want Kennedy and were not going to play him in top grade , so of course he would ask for release , wink wink , on condition he is paid full amount.Bronco's and Kennedy are in a win/win situation if Kennedy released even if Broncos had to pay some of his contract.
