Rams, Chargers & Raiders apply for L.A. relocation

There in lies the problem. The owners want better stadium, the government is not playing for all three.

After doing some reading, I think Raiders and Charges will share a stadium in Carson - They have already bought the land together and have the government on board.
Like the New York teams do.

The Rams will be told to stay for now, with no doubt heavy pressure (From the NFL) applied to St Louis government to get a new stadium built. If that pressure does not bare fruit they could end up anywhere, but St Louis.

The Rams should be the LA team.
The Raiders should be Oakland.
The Chargers should be in San Diego.
and the Spanos should be fired out of a cannon into the sun.

The relocation committee have recommended the Chargers & Raiders Carson Stadium project over the Rams Inglewood project.

However from all the stories going around it sounds like the owners want Rams & Chargers in Inglewood with league to help out with a stadium solution for the Raiders in Oakland.

As I said... I'm happy with that... Everyone wins.... Except maybe Ice Cube... :lol:

Okay to update it...

The Rams alone in Inglewood has been taken off the table...

It's now a battle between:

The Rams & TBA(The Chargers as the owners don't want the Raiders in LA) in Inglewood.

VS

The Chargers & Raiders in Carson.

They had a first round of voting and despite the relocation committee recommending Carson over Inglewood the Rams/TBA got more votes than Chargers/Raiders.

It was 20 to 12 so still short of the 24 needed... But apparently the Chargers and Raiders have been called in to a meeting with the league which would indicate a deal will be worked out so Spanos can get out of the Carson agreement and join the Rams.

So it looks like it's heading for Rams/Chargers.

Looks like this is it... The Rams/Chargers will be the new option on the table... So a deal was obviously done...

The owners will rubber stamp it from here you would think....

One things for sure... Mark Davis and the Raiders are suffering for the sins of his old man...

I do feel for San Diego and ST Louis... As those 2 cities at least tried to keep there team... Oakland did sweet f**k all and will likely end up keeping the raiders and get the stadium funded... Doesn't seem fair IMO...

in 03/04 the team first came to the city with a proposal. city council rejected it on the funding basis. a bunch of those guys then went to jail for corruption on other issues

the team wauited, came up with numerous proposals but the city was like "needs more charger funding"

so by 08, I reckon they were ready to move to LA.

then , the city came to the chargers with proposals, which they knocked back. mostly because of the previous dealings IMO

its degenerated into a pissing match

the fans lose out

the ownership is horrendous anyway. squandered many a great players career

they deserve a kick in the dick but instead will get their move to LA

I actually have no issues with either the Raiders or Oakland...

I can understand the issue for both sides... The Raiders just aren't rich enough to fund a stadium due to the owners not being rich enough... And I certainly don't blame the, for wanting to leave the stadium as its a dump.

And the city of Oakland can't justify spending money on a stadium when they need to spend it other areas... I respect that...

If something can be worked out where the Raiders get a new stadium and stay in Oakland than that's the best news of all...

Surely some of that $550 mil they have to pay the NFL to relocate could go towards fixing Oakland's stadium or is that money tagged for something else? Can't say I've paid this situation a great amount of detail.
