Can't see Kata in the side tbh... gotta get past Simona, Whare (if fit), SKD, Hiku (we all know it's true) and probably Kahu too. He's Tongan anyway.

I'd probably be tempted to give Manu a rest as a selfish Warriors supporter.

I don't like leaving Tohu Harris out, Manu Ma'u has been very good but a little too error/penalty prone for me - the only reason to pick him over Harris (or Tauk) would be to lock him up, something I doubt is necessary for an Auckland-born guy who isn't Origin-eligible.

I quite like your team while disagreeing with you 110% about the bold. The Kiwis are not a development team. Hopefully Kearney has now learn't that lesson.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about giving away free black jerseys. But if we discern that a bloke has a future in the black jersey, I think the ANZAC fixture is a good place to introduce them- particularly with the Origin crowd aggressively challenging players' allegiances. I am so glad, for instances, that Taumololo stuck with us. We should have locked him up sooner.

The blooding aspect in my team would be Rona and Simona (instead of Nightingale, Perrett, SKD, Hiku) and Ma'u (ahead of Eastwood or Moa)...so hardly selection injustices.
