Nothing wrong with what Villasanti did Timmah.

The Roosters beat us in 2002 fair, square and comprehensively. They were a peg above us and we were a little overawed. Fiter was immense in that game- as somebody mentioned before, I couldn't believe he didn't get the Churchill.

As I recall we were still leading before Toopi's non-tackle.

After that they pretty much scored from a scummy grubber, a dodgy Fitzgibbon double movement from dummy half, and then an irrelevant "icing on the cake" try at the end.

Toopi :x

Realistically it was the last chance the Roosters were going to have to make another GF in years with the retirement of Brad Fittler, also Shannon Hegartys non involvement in the Elmasri try, he just stood there and clapped thinking the tackle had been completed instead of coming in wrapping up Elmasri completely so there was no chance of him getting the ball down. Jury is still out for me on that try, was it a double movement or was it fair try ? every time I look at it I have a different opinion but still Shannon Hegarty could have prevented it completely.

Ryan Cross was another, Girdler went off injured and Cross snhould have stepped up. Instead of stepping up like the wannabe rep player he thought he was he became Shane Rodney's bitch.

At the time Rodney was a rookie reserve back rower playing as a make shift centre. If Cross was actually any good he shoud have had a field day running against a 20 year old playing out of position in the biggest game of his life. It's no wonder the Roosters won the grand final Cross dind't play in.

It is no surprise to me that the only Grand Final the Roosters won whilst Cross was there was in 2002 whilst he was out with his broken leg. The guy was a deadset liability in defence often leaving his winger marking two players as he kept coming inside to make the big hit. Add in him being a ball hog in attack and it amazed me how many Roosters fans kept singing his praises.

2003 Grand Final. Leaving the ground on fulltime after the Roosters lost and had 6-8 juvenile punks who had not even been in the ground decide to follow me all the way from "The Overflow" to the station making threatening and vile comments. They only backed off when I turned around and challenged them all to a fight there and then. It was because of that incident I boycott attending Roosters away matches when we play the Bulldogs. I know plenty of decent Bulldogs fans, but at those guys were complete a-holes.

2013 Grand Final. How the hell did Daly Cherry-Evans deserve the Clive Churchill Medal? Yes he set up some good tries for Manly, but overlooked was that the last two tries came about from line breaks resulting from missed tackles by Daly Cherry-Evans.

2008. Drove up with my sister and father on the Friday before the game. It was a last minute decision. As soon as we got to the ground and the Manly team walked out with the most concentrated look on their faces, I knew we were f**ked. I was probably the only person in the stadium who was expected a scoreline similar to that.

Yep should have went to Shame Hayne, because without him there was no way the Roosters would have won :)
