No I thought you were implying we would only have to make a rough match of the highest offer.

No as I said if he received a similar offer and stayed he is seriously a parra man (which I don't think would happen as that type of loyalty could be a career killer) or he believes he has a team capable of winning a premiership here

But considering we will never know what the offers were like, if he does re-sign are you going to assume the offers were similar? If he leaves will you assume we failed to match the offer, or even failed to make an offer at all?

I maybe being a bit paranoid here but is anyone else concerned about BA's welfare and wellbeing atm. He has to put up with enough shit and constant drama after drama over the last 6 months that lasts a lifetime or coaching career depending on what way you look at it. Everyone i hear speak about the him say what a strong leader he is but at the end of the day BA is human like of all us and there is only so much an individual can take before either pissing off and quitting.

Been thinking about this for a while now, everyone has their breaking point but we just dont know where BA's is atm. He seems to be holding up well but only he knows exactly how he is really feeling about all this.

He seems pretty level headed to me, and very much able to not let a lot of this stuff phase him too much.

But you're right, there's only so much a person can take, but then some people have a much higher threshold than others.

Probably one kinda good thing is that he actually knows most of what is unfolding ... he's there amongst it ... its more of a shock to us merkins on the outside looking in .... hopefully that makes some of it easier on him

Most other coaches would have left by now. Clearly BA loves the club as much as we do - well most of us at least.

I hope BA gets to have the best off-season break ever in September (assuming we are penalised out of the finals) and October to recover from a high pressure year.

He seems a man of intergity, and if he is a Parra man, I suspect he would be interested in seeing he club to a point where it's future is secure - even if he doesn't see himself as a long term part of it?

Does Arthur's contract go until end 2017? If so, I reckon he'll push on until our governance is sorted out - i.e. he has a permanent (Footy CEO) "boss" in position, with stable (Director/Board) bosses in place as well. If that happens before the end of the year, then he'll be in a position to receive the Club's offer of an extension (and know that offer is reliable etc).

Or at that point he could decide he's had enough and give notice that he'll finish at the end of his current contract (end 2017?) - allowing the bosses ample time to conduct recruitment for transition into 2018. No one could blame him, but I reckon he'll keep the playing group as together as possible by not telling anyone his plans until the start of the 2017 season.

The biggest issue we would get with an administrator is if they choose not to make any major decisions on the football side of the club that would bind a new club board down the track. I.e. not considering to extend the coach, not signing any players to long term deals (longer than 1 season).

Scare mongering by the 2 non-merit based EGM proposal groups. BA might walk because 2 people said so? Because those 2 people know that once administrators move in, their faction based efforts to rise to power can't/won't happen

Stupid article milking clicks based on stupid speculation.

The administrator could even be the boss from Dance Moms USA, have no idea about NRL and still get within 5 mins that retaining BA is No.1 priority.
