Hang on, could we all be on the same page here? Best scenario. Farah comes, Mcinnes is his understudy and Cook gets fired into the sun?

no I want to keep cook, and I think we should only sign farah if we get him for really cheap and wests tigers pay for most of it. we shouldn't be paying more than $400,000 per year for farah. I have heard the deal is done and we will be paying farah only $200,000 - 250,000 for next season and that wests tigers are paying the rest of the $950,000, lol

Well I wouldn't fire him into the sun. Only problem with that is that Cam is getting paid starting money whereas Cook is cheap. Not sure we can afford to have Cam's money playing 20 minutes a game or running on for the Bears.

I hear st merge want mcinnes and are willing to pay the whole $400,000 per year for him that he is currently getting. I would let him go. we shouldn't be paying him anywhere near that much. with that money, we could get another backup dummy half for around $100,000 (maybe someone like cherrington), and use the rest of the cash on signing a decent forward

Robbie Farah Join Rabbitohs??

Reports have surfaced that the Rabbitohs have met Farah’s manager and a deal has been struck, as the NSW Origin hooker continues to be named in reserve grade.

Farah looks to have played his last game for the club he won a premiership with in 2005, leaving him stranded three games short of his 250th for the Tigers, despite still having a year to run on his contract.

The star hooker was dumped to reserve grade three weeks ago and Jason Taylor’s men have been unbeaten since, and are now rolling towards an unlikely finals berth.

The final year of Farah’s contract is set to cost the club just shy of $1 million but the Tigers are understood to be willing to consider any offer to take their former skipper off their hands, meaning the Rabbitohs or any other interested club could potentially get an Origin hooker for less than $200,000-per-season.

Farah was linked to Souths, Dragons and the Sharks in recent weeks, but it is believed a phone call from owner Russell Crow to Farah clinched the deal and the announcement of the signing is due within the next 48-72hrs.

mcinnes has had quite a lot of games in first grade now. picking the ball up quickly and passing it quickly is a basic dummy half skill that he often doesn't do. he needs to work on his game in nsw cup for now. i'm not saying he doesn't have potential though

I think McInnes was playing exactly the way Madge wanted him to do--that's why he kept him there!

McInnes just went along with Madge's dumb game plan to the point that it stuffed his game--same as most[or all]players; he has gone backwards in his game.

Now that Madge has stuffed up the season with his miserable approach he will try things a "slightly"bit different now--like give Cook a free rein & see what occurs.

I wouldn't take too much notice of what happens for the rest of the season as the pressure is off!!
"Cuddlecakes Cook" will appear good;for a while,Sths will fall for his flash in the pan form & he'll be back next year!

TBH,I would recommend Cam to move on before his career goes down the drain under the control-freak!!

I doubt madge wanted him to often give slow service. i'd say he kept him in first grade because he thought he'd improve

Don't see why we can't have all 3?

Robbie is the veteran who can teach the other two, who will be vying for a bench spot. Hell, Robbie might not even make our top 17 but could be a handy squad player.

Cam is reported to be on $400k and that is too much to have tied up in a NSW Cup player.

TBH,Cam would be nuts if he stayed at Sths to have his game further debased!!

If Sths don't move away from their present playing style not much will change for 2017-- even with Farah!!

I think Sths will try to keep Cam over Cook but I think it would be in Cam's interest if he escaped while he's still young enough to start afresh with a less controlling coach. Cam will probably be played from the bench as a 2nd dummy half & utility forward if he stays!??

Correct.

Imo it's Cam's fault not Madge.

Madge wouldn't tell Cam to pass the ball slow.

Madge wouldn't ell Cam make sure you give penalties away on the last tackle.

Madge wouldn't tell Cam to freeze on the spot.

Madge wouldn't tell Cam to pass the ball to the ground.

If Robbie comes imo he easily makes our best 17.

Especially as Richo and Crowe are both trying to lure him over,
