Swimming

Resting McEvoy last night clearly worked.

Chalmers seems to have the Thorpey style oomph and grit when it matters about him.

That's what it takes to be a champion.

Haha yeah sitting him from the relay worked a treat didnt it?
McEvoy can go sit in the corner with Magnussen.

Blame the organisers, seems like they don't want to do overtime tonight. The swimmers are barely getting out of the pool before the next swimmers are out.

World championship choke is what happened. Chalmers came from nowhere to win that. What a swim.
Perhaps being a carefree 18yr old helped?

Where as McEvoy was probably the next cab off the rank after Sullivan and Magnussen of long term hyped 'would be' champs.

Chalmers is the real deal. Pure speed on the big stage.

Great to see we win one, thought it was 4 years too soon but he's a potential absolute superstar.

At least the annoying Yank lost

Is he racing in the 50m? Would have to be a huge shot at that too if so.

It's also safe to say that he's just set himself up for life with multi million dollar endorsement deals.

That was a million dollar win in every way for him.

McEvoy said he hasn't been right this week, probably why he got omitted from the relay.

Isn't it McEvoy and Abboud swimming the 50? I could be wrong there.

No McEvoy and Abood in the 50. Don't think Chalmers has the speed. Based on is 100m split the Canadian will be tough to beat and Frenchman Manaudou has a very slick 50 on him.

Is Mcevoy the one nicknamed The Professor? If so I'm glad he didn't medal, seems like an arrogant turd
