lol there's no way an american would do that.
But americans aren't trophey parents like we are (you will never see their fans disappoint with silver), we have gone from two extremes in the past 2 olympics.
London had swimmers crying because they failed and won silver, you don't want that either but we seem to have been too soft on them this time.

You need to meet somewhere in the middle so they perform well but don't end up drug addicts cause they lost one race.
As I said before, I think we need to have a strong look at our coaching.

Re the bolded part above, you clearly haven't caught an episode of "Dance Moms".

What has Kitty Chiller has to say about the results so far? She goosed it up by saying that we going to win something like 16 gold. As soon as I heard her say that I knew we were doomed. We're not going to be anywhere near that by the looks of things.

Well I mean thr public toward team America not actual parents.
Some actual American parents are terrible!

The shame i feel today is immeasurable. This Australian swim team has plunged me in an Olympic pool sized depression and like our swimmers, im sinking like a stone.

I wish i was a pom :(
Yes me too I've struggled to concentrate today!!

"Some wondered if McEvoy were ill or if there was some other tangible excuse for the less-than-stellar outing, but Australian Head Coach Jacco Verhaeren points to simple stage fright.

“It looked like he was frozen … how do you call it, stage fright. It had nothing to do with any physical, technical, tactical choices whatsoever. He just wasn’t there at the right time. And that is mental. And what part of mental we have to find out,” Verhaeren told the press post-race."

I think it was the same with the Campbell sisters and Emily Seebhom - its spreading through the camp.

Splits of that race:
1 MANUEL Simone USA 0.68 (3) 25.24 52.70 OR,AM 27.46
1 OLEKSIAK Penny CAN 0.69 (7) 25.70 52.70 OR,AM,WJ 27.00
3 SJOSTROM Sarah SWE 0.68 (5) 25.45 52.99 0.29 27.54
4 CAMPBELL Bronte AUS 0.69 (2) 25.04 53.04 0.34 28.00
5 KROMOWIDJOJO Ranomi NED 0.70 (6) 25.55 53.08 0.38 27.53
6 CAMPBELL Cate AUS 0.80 (1) 24.77 53.24 0.54 28.47
7 WEITZEIL Abbey USA 0.70 (4) 25.39 53.30 0.60 27.91
8 OTTESEN Jeanette DEN 0.68 (8) 25.79 53.36 0.66 27.57
Looking at that first split with Cate, do you give her any chance in the 50m? Providing she can pull herself up off the floor.

Not just this camp, last camp too. It killed Magnussen, and others (from what I remember).

Anyone with the name Kitty cannot be taken seriously unless she is grinding a pole.

Yeah absolutely so long as her feet aren't glued to the blocks again. Bronte too. I think the final will be similar to the 100 free - Campbell girls, Ranomi widjojo, 2x US, Sjostrom and the British girl and f**k knows the 8th spot...maybe the Dane.

I'm going to go against the trend here and say that neither Campbell will medal in the 50...

They are both mentally shot...
