"Robbie Farah (33 in Jan) has been offered $1 million to come to Souths, subsidised at $600k by Wests Tigers. Benji Marshall (32 in Feb) is also being chased. Luke Lewis (33) was approached earlier this year and the moves are on again to try and sign him. Lewis went to Cronulla from the Panthers on half the money Souths were offering at the time. He also backed out of an agreement to come to the Rabbitohs in 2008. Recruitment at Souths is now apparently in the hands of Shane Richardson and Mark 'Rhino' Ellison."

Marshall to SOUTHS could very well happen.

I think Lewis has officially re-signed with Cronulla.

Madge spoke to Rochow at the 11th hour and they've agreed to a deal but Rochow is yet to sign.

They had Cook for a number of years and he didn't make it out of reserve grade.

Rein is absolute balls.

McInnes would be a big step up for them. He will play for NSW in a few years time. Mark my words.
Well the Blues won't be winning anything with Cam in the side.

I personally think Cam won't be playing origin.

Third year of first grade. 39 games played. Api played in the grand final for us in year 1 (which was also Cam's first year) and he was awesome. Api showed plenty early on.
Correctamundo.

Api showed more than what Cam has so far.

Peats also showed more than Cam in his first year.

Cam has been the most disappointing.

Interesting the comparisons between api, peats and mcinnes. Mcinnes was used off the bench in short periods during 2014, before his time really as api couldn't play a full game. He was still a Toyota cup player at the time if irc. So 2015 was his first year as a full timer and even then he was back up. So i consider this as his 2nd full year. Peats left after 3 seasons with us, he was 23 by the time he left, and as shown by the recently bumped thread some saw him in a similar light as mcinnes, not good enough, to slow, just a tackler etc. Api had a great grand final but he was merely an ok fill in his other games. Keep in mind he came into a dominant 2014 pack. He left as a 22 year old, he had a Dissapointing season with Penrith and was let go, and has had a hot and cold season with manly. He is now 24. So considering mcinnes turned 22 this season then dkor statement that mcinnes has shown just as much as the other 2 at similar stages in their careers isn't so far fetched

That's just DKRs opinion ,doesn't mean it's true,he's just an average punter like the rest of us
I totally disagree and think if Mcinnes is going to play origin we must have bugger all to choose from

Robbie Farah (33 in Jan) has been offered $1 million to come to Souths, subsidised at $600k by Wests Tigers.

So maybe that is only for 1 year then (2017), because he currently has a contract where he will be getting around $1,000,000 next year, so if he comes to Souths for the 2017 season only, and $600,000 is subsidised by Wests Tigers, that means we would be paying $400,000 for him for the 2017 season. $400,000 is actually the maximum amount that I have said that I'd spend on him for the 2017 season.

Benji Marshall (32 in Feb) is also being chased

Hey R20, remember a few months ago how I told you how I had that bad dream where we signed Farah and Marshall? Well that could actually happen! o_O

Like I've said before, McInnes has more potential than Cook so I would like to keep him here if its possible (his salary being twice what he's worth will make that difficult). In my opinion, McInnes has shown less than the other two at the same stage of their careers. Even just the grand final showed how good Api could be, apart from 15 minutes against the most inept Manly defense, McInnes hasn't come close to that. But as they say, opinions are like arseholes. Everybody has one. That's just mine.

What a stupid comment that is Doyen, you know how hard it is for any Rabbitohs player to be picked for NSW. Just look when the side was destroying teams only Merritt got picked during that period for one game!

Don't want or need both at the club
If farah turns up at the club on the cheap i could live with that, his presence would be great for Cam but im not sure in general.

If we sign Benji then all the butthurt over recruitment in the last 6 months would have been for nothing. Same mistakes by a different mob. Benji's form is terrible, no point signing a player based on 10 year old form.

As for Luke Lewis if we werent good enough for him years ago then we arent now.
