Those pictures of him tining up for sun downers at leichhardt are some of the sadest in sport. I know sport is a business now but to some people it is much more than that.

I don't want him at the club next year but as it seems like a done deal I will still be chearing him on and hoping he goes well.

Unless he was on 1.2m a year, tigers pay 750k and we pay the other 450k. I'm hoping it's as you suggested.

I don't think he was on that much. He wasn't even on $950 a year at tigers. He took a back ended deal to assist the club before they stabbed him in the back.
But yes that's how I read it although it's hard to believe he's going to play for 250k in 2018. I'm sure he could do better than that in Australia never mind a move to England.

Josh starling has been released by manly, would be a good cheap signing if he came back to us

Wouldn't hate having Starling back but I think it's imperative that we sign an experienced forward for a year or two. Could be invaluable to our young guys. Starlo seems a bit one dimensional though...

Josh Starling ---No Thanks
He could barely get onto the bench when he was with us
We now have Rochow,Crichton, musgrove, etc he would not get near our top 17
And apparently Clarky can play prop if theirs an injury ???

Moa or Douglas please.

Tigers are paying out 750k for Robbie.

We are going to pay him 400-450k putting him around the 1.2m mark.

So we ain't paying 250k like we hoped for.

I'm thinking more of a depth player, cheap, experienced, come in when others are injured or suspended.

Those U20s teams of the year are a joke

Fuimaono deserves to be in the team of the year looking at his stats. Made huge metres for Parra U20s

But Robert Jennings is in there off Michael's reputation. Robert only played 10 games this season and only scored 5 tries. You don't deserve to be in the team of the year based on that. Burns would have been more deserving with 18 tries from 16 games

What makes you say that? In the article it states that 90% of the players named go on to play NRL. To me that seems like a pretty impressive number to back up its legitimacy. I guess the Robert Jennings one is a fair claim, but penrith supporters seem to have big wraps on him as a player. Wasn't Robert Jennings recovering from injury also? To be honest it doesn't bother me because we've signed burns too :)

You really think he was on 1.2m for next year? No way in the world that could be the case. I'm pretty sure its as I suggested (from the SMH) 750k from Tigers 200k from us for next year.

If Starlo is one dimensional he will fit the norm almost perfectly!!

You'd think he was on 950k, but with the incompetence of the people running wests tigers over the last 5 years 1.2m wouldn't be that big a surprise
