It says $300 for a Burrow membership which includes the same things as my diamond membership with the 9 home games, 1 game at Allianz/SCG, 3 reciprocal rights games and charity shield.

I have a better view where I sit than the Burrow.

But $300 seems very reasonable.

From memory I think it was about $250 last season which was far too cheap imo.

$400 for the burrow as well.

Unless they've changed it since I checked. 300 is what I paid last war

I just checked again there is a premium version for $400 I didn't realise and just saw Burrow. So yeah $300 the same as this year.
I will more than likely join again but I'm waiting to see if we get shafted in the draw first.

I sit in the burrow and the feeling seems to be it's laughable we have 35,000 members and no sod at the game.
So which is it delusion or just a liar? What makes you know what the players think? Because they said so? It's a business you've got to keep your customers happy.

I live nowhere near ANZ, Allianz would be much easier for me, but for the betterment of the club, i understand that playing out of ANZ affords us a better deal, the corporate facilities are second to none, the stadium trust rewards the club handsomely to play out of the stadium & the money the government is to spend on it should make the whole experience much better

I can see us having a good couple of years & we'll push the crowds right up, i think the atmosphere is ok, not great but ok, with bigger games its pretty good considering the culture of sydney sporting fans & the stay at home & watch it on tv generation, i must say that i'm not one to take much out of atmosphere, i'm too busy watching the game to get into that bullshit

It's great you enjoy it and I do understand financially today the club is better off playing out of ANZ.
The big question is why is the that the culture in Sydney? Is it because they are provided with piss poor options to go and watch the game? Lack of atmosphere may not bother you but it certainly bothers some. It's a sad state of affairs when two foundation Sydney sides are drawing about 13k in the sports premier competition when the Sydney derby can draw in 62,000 to watch what is almost pub football.

Hasn't got much to do with the game, the game is what it is, crowds are much bigger these days than what they used to be

As for culture in Sydney, who knows, maybe its just the city, the layout etc, is it something to do with our CBD is nowhere near the the centre of Sydney?
The soccer was a one off, they do well & its a long way from pub football, they don't always draw anywhere near that, we've had club games pretty close to that crowd, we have a good year & we get around 20,000 av
You mention piss poor options? you have two options, go to games or stay at home, suit yourself

Of course they don't draw that normally it's the first time the derby has been played in a stadium capable of taking that many. The Sydney derby is the SFS biggest attendance every year across all codes, the standard really isn't much better than pub football.
Or a third option is the NRL realises playing normal games in an 80,000 seater stadium is stupid. Like I say you may like it but that doesn't mean I have to.

Ok, so, the problem with crowds is ANZ?
Its already been stated that the majority of our members & season ticket holders don't live close to the city, the majority have spread out through Sydney, NSW & Australia as demographics has changed

You might not remember, i don't know your age or vintage but we had even smaller crowds at the football stadium when we had it as a home

I think you'll see the whole olympic precinct change over time & as the stadium changes also i think things will improve

If you want singing & chanting go and watch the "pub team" play football

Sorry I didn't realise your opinion was the be all and end all. If you want to watch the Rugby in quiet why not do it at home with all your mates I'm sue you have?
If chants and songs don't matter why do they push the burrow and amplify the noise around the stadium?
Also theres about a million more people in Sydney than there was ten years ago.

The Allianz stadium argument holds no water anymore. We played a "home" game there last year in round 20 against the Sea Eagles on a Monday night and only got about 8000 odd...

That's after everyone bleating on about how much better the stadium is and how much easier it is to get into after work.

Even the crowds for our games against the Roosters there are down nowadays.

The demographic around the Eastern Suburbs and inner city is changing and it's not leaning towards the types of people that watch Rugby League.

On a Monday night against Manly how many more would that game have got at ANZ? As I said I wouldn't do it until the light rail is in which would make it easier to access and I have only ever claimed this as an opinion. ANZ for the numbers we are pulling is dire. My argument isn't to take it back to 'home' just to take it somewhere better than ANZ. If all our fans live out west lets go to Para.

There isn't really a better option.

Once the planned work is completed at ANZ it will be the premiere Rugby League ground in the country.

So a redeveloped Para or better connected SFS isn't a better option why?

I dont believe it will be better than Brisbane for a normal game. For Origin and finals I'm sure it will be top draw, but its still going to be empty and cavernous for the normal rounds. I will be happy to be proven wrong though.

Because the last thing I want, as a paid up member, is to be carting my backside all over Sydney to various venues wondering where my membership seats will be this week... It's bad enough when we play at Allianz or the SCG now. It's even painful when we're at ANZ but it's a Dogs home game and we have to shift to level 4.

We have 35,000 paid up members... The focus should be on getting them all to turn up to every game that they've paid for, not on finding the right sized stadium for every individual match that we play. If we start off with the 35,000 people turning up every week then the atmosphere will take care of itself.

We don't have 35,000 members paid up to every game though. If we did it seems Allianz would be the perfect fit although a redeveloped Paramatta stadium is 30k which I would imagine is ample for paid up ticketed members. I wasn't suggesting moving around for each game just basing ourselves at a stadium that would suit our needs be it SFS or Para.

no, its fact, we've grown at every level whilst playing out of ANZ

awwww but nobody sings to you???

And we can only continue to grow if we have 70,000 empty seats. All the big clubs in the world have 70,000 empty seats thats how you generate success.
