How do you know that Max wasn't told it wouldn't count against the cap only for our mate #powerhouse Todd to completely change his mind??? I've said from Day 1 that the Hoppa situation was likely to end up in us having to pay him and for that expenditure to count towards the cap......I was given a serious of progressively changing explanations as to why I was was wrong. 125K a season is about as good as we were likely to get out of this situation.

Short answer YES - Is our team gaining any advantage on the field - NO . This is punishing us for previous management in a contract that was never even registered with the NRL and I fail to see why they would sticky their dirty noses in. . It seems they are going out of their way to hurt the club. Almost like a personal attack.

AFL do it all the time and its why Eddy has a cry about GWS and the Swans. People running the game are just smarter.

The worse part is BA would of had some sort of say in keeping Hoppa. And at what cost. I almost feel like they agreed on a price and in 3-4 games perhaps BA may of come in and said this guy isn't worth it. All coaches get some say in recruitment. Lets just hope BA has learned cause he did go all out for Watmough and Foran based on their good ethics. Part of me think BA likes to see the good in people to much. Hopefully getting burnt byt these bums will toughen him up a little.

From the NRL's point of view they probably want to avoid allowing a precedent that gives some clubs a way of circumventing the cap.

Agree to an extent. Melbourne won premierships when cheating, Bulldogs would have won the minor premiership and likely the whole thing when cheating (but got caught prior to round 26). We were cheating and losers (wooden spoons, missing the 8) at the same time

Well this year we beat plenty of teams and we did it off the back of cheating and it felt great. I lurk on other clubs' forums and plenty of them were frustrated that we refused to roll over and die after getting caught. f**k them. We weren't losers this year, and we have cheating to thank for it.
