I can't see him turning out for a trash unit like the tigers or knights and sullying his career with that
He'll retire if he can't find a suitable match

He's a good looking guy who is articulate and has a tremendous footy brain. A 20-30 year career as a highly paid analyst awaits. Why would he chase coin playing for a bad team?

Ha ha! What is your definition of a Trash unit mate?

Geez a prelim final distorts your sense of reality...........and Knights are guilty as charged.

I guess that makes Many elite?

Define trash unit in the context of mid table mediocrity....

I get you point around Cronk but geez you put it across so badly when it could come back to haunt you.

James Tedesco suggests he hasn't made a decision. I don't believe him, unlike Kieran Foran who I tend to believe is still considering his options but is more likely going to go to the Bulldogs.

Tedesco probably is playing coy, and not wanting to confirm anything until it's official.

"James Tedesco has attracted a fair amount of press this week after talk that he's set to head to the Roosters.

However, Teddy took the chance in a post-match interview with the Triple M call team to clarify the situation. Listen to the full interview below.

"We haven't made a decision on my future yet. I think the media sort of made it for me without us confirming that.

"It was a tough situation and I've just listened to Isaac (Moses, his manager) and I'm happy with how he's handling it."

Interestingly, Teddy seemed adamant that the decision not to respond to the Tigers before the Friday deadline was not the nail in the coffin of his chances of remaining with the club, saying that he wasn't ready to make a decision yet.

Like skipper Woods, Teddy said that he had not signed with a club, rival or otherwise.

However, the Tigers made it clear on Friday that as a consequence of the deadline not being met, offers slated to both Teddy and Woods were now off the table, with the Tigers presently not having a bid put in for their services.

"That's their call. I wasn't ready to make a decision so that's their call on that and there's not much I can do about it."

Probably the best thing Johnson could do for his carreer would be to go to Melb.
He wont though. The easy option is to stay at the Warriors, and thats what he will take.

Paul Kent says that?

Well then, I expect Johnson to extend at the Warriors in the next two weeks.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the multiple rumours of the Storm looking to recruit an experience halfback are complete rubbish. Brodie Croft will slot in there as part of their succession planning.

Why do raiders fans get so cocky after 1 prelim appearance in 30 years?

He wouldn't come to us either. We've been trash for two decades now. One year doesn't change that

Nothing to do arrogance, I just don't see why Cooper Cronk would sign up for a rebuilding project at this stage of his career
If he plays, I would think it would be for a team who can win a comp. The knights and Tigers are certainly no where near winning a comp

But I could be wrong. Maybe a fat retirement cheque is all he's after.

Could be his only choice if he wants to continue playing. Dragons, Cronulla, Parra and (apparently) Dogs are all sorted. Only option really is Tigers and he would be guarenteed a million surely

I don't think we are all doom and gloom, a player of that calibur could be the one player to help steer the ship. You'd hope he sees it as a challenge

Ps I'm not saying raiders are shit now, just they haven't exactly lit the world on fire apart from last year either. Still my tip to be in the GF

he might not have a choice the way things are going....

townsend staying at sharks - townsend + maloney
widdop staying at dragons - widdop + hunt (unless widdop moves to fb could happen)
foran going to dogs - foran + frawley/reynolds/mbye
moses going to eels - moses + norman

it's looking like either pleb club or retirement

Haha that's good because I'm saying we're shit. We had one good year and have started a second OK. One sunny day won't wash away a life time of misery for me. Haha

When I say the tigers and knights are trash units i don't say it to get under your skins. I say it because both sides have a ton of holes and are years from competing. I think if those are his options, the likes of the knights or tigers, teams so far removed from competing, Cronk would sooner retire and take up those cushy media gigs

The knights and tigers will rise again, that's the nature of the NRL. But not in time for Cronk

Who isn't re-building in Sydney to be fair? Dogs limped into and out of the 8 last year, Roosters have their problems and run bottom 4 last year, Dragons have had a great start to the year but have struggled, souths and Tigers are about an equal pegging based on performance the last two years, Parra had dramas the last couple of years. Heck even Cronulla have had their problems in the last 2-3 years however a premiership has glossed over that fact.

"Hi Justin, James and Aaron here, we haven't made a decision on our futures yet. We understand you have placed the 5pm deadline on us today however is the club willing to give us until the end of the month (next month, another week whatever) to look over the facts and options so we can make an informed decision. Thanks and look forward to hearing back from you."

That's all they had to do. It's not hard and doesn't leave you looking like a douche.

are you ruling Manly out?

Green is at the back end of his career and not on big coin, could be an option at 14 while Stewart and Matais sallary will be available..I think??

Paul Kent suggests Shaun Johnson will leave the Warriors if Kieran Foran departs. I don't know if I believe it, but he suggests Storm would be a good fit who are looking for a half-back. The Warriors CEO was adamant that Johnson is going nowhere.

https://www.triplem.com.au/sport/nrl/news/reports-shaun-johnson-could-move-to-australia

Shaun Johnson has said he's all but signed with the Warriors. This is the thing with Kent and the other DT mongs, they just say baseless outrageous comments to fill space.

Signing rumours sell papers. Doesn't matter where the rumour actually comes from and I guess the ultimate rationale is that if the papers sold today then it can't be unsold tomorrow when the rumour is called out to be baseless.

It's almost a victimless crime.

TBH I am not too fussed if Johnson leaves - we'll not win a comp (or go close) with him at 7 and a numptie in 6. He'll be (more consistently) brilliant in the right system - Foran will be great for him, but once Foran's gone Hingano and Lino while promising have not developed as they're in reggies

That said, he'll stay - and I am not keeping score but has Kent predicted anything correctly yet?

Rumors are Tui Lolohea wants out from the Warriors and the Tigers are very much interested in him.
