Frizell nearly saved a try yesterday scored down our right wing. Mc Donald should have been there but was doing
someone else's tackling. It was like watching schoolboy defence. This pathetic wing and centre defence needs to be sorted out pronto. We have got thrashed in two games because of it. We have played well in seven games
and poorly in two games.

I have noticed that Friz almost always tracks back centre field and rarely runs an out line as Sims did for that try and last year vs sharks. Friz all heart but no line breaks this year
I'm sure he is playing to instructions from Mary. Just have a look and see what he does during the rep games. If he does the same, then I stand corrected.

Indeed. He ran a few of those lines last year off Benji but hasn't put it together once this year. Wonder why.

who would have thought dragons would be second in round 10?
The real question is why aren't the Dragons first in round 10? We have the form team of the competition we did have some serious injury setbacks against the Roosters but overcame them very well.
Against the Roosters I suggest we were the better team on the day. If only the message was sent out early to pot a field goal, we possibly could have one in normal time. Despite being in the Roosters half many times in the last 10min. we only had one shot at field goal.

Against the Storm, I'd say if we did not employ that failed up and in defensive plan, we would have gone toe to toe in the first half and it was there to see for everyone how dominant we were in the second half. It is not the first time in Mary's coaching career at the Dragons that we have lost important games through poor coaching decisions.

no one on this forum would have dragons in the top 4 at the start of the year. i thought they would be sitting around 9th or 12th tbh. but they've proving the doubters wrong. we need to fix our edge defense, it can be easily fixed it's an attitude thing. once widdop comes back after the bye look out. we will make the 4 got some easy games after the bye.

Yes all true however, Mary and the players new that they had solved a lot of the problem very early in the off season and all were confident of being competitive this season. Changing Mary's game long evolving game plan and putting in a simple 'power plan' was the secret and the reason they all thought we would be successful and also the reason they have been successful.

My thoughts are, why settle for second when it is clear that we should be first! My greatest fear is that we have lost two in a row and so if we don't arrest trend, our players could very well lose confidence and mimic what happened in 2015.

Not all gloom, Dragons were the highest scoring losing team in round 9...and that was against the ladder leaders and the best defensive team in the comp.
We also showed we can play and score points in second halves.

With some fairer refereeing and a genuine goal kicker, we could easily have beaten the team that all the sports commentators are currently raving about.

The big lesson here is clear to see Bellamy out coached Mary .....
Bellamy out coaches every NRL coach...your not stating anything new here...if thats your analogy then we can all say that McGregor has this year out coached the below coaches:
Griffin
Flanagan
Green
Barrett
Kearney

This is a genuine question. Why do you like Mary so much?

Do you know him, are you Mary, did you support Price to the end too, do you perhaps construe constructive criticism for disloyalty, or are you just a naive kid?

To be so bereft of judgment, of common sense, is fascinating. I'm serious, I have to know. What is it?

Mickey lane.....come on man. Mary is second after just 9 rounds following on from a dismal few years. And 6/3 is not exactly outstanding. Especially since 2 losses were quite heavy. Hold our judgement till round 15-18. I feel the same about Widdop and a few others... last year dunces may not remain this years A class students. Time will tell. Not us.

There's something familiar about you. Like a pre-meltdown Valisevsky...

I hope your wrong because we've spent a large portion of our cap on Widdop. You know if we slotted Mann into 6 and Widdop at 7 from round 1, maybe we would have had a better idea about Mann and still found success of the back of our forwards.

IMO the biggest lesson learn t is , we just wont beat Melbourne with structured plays & moves.Offloads second phase play & a bit of add lib footy is our only chance. They are one team that seem to learn from any defensive lapses rather quickly. We seem to be quite the opposite
