Only rumours at this stage. I'll believe it when WT officially announce it

Would be horrible for the dude if true

Sad news for the big fella, that will probably spell curtains as far as the NRL. He certainly gave 100% for us but I think his days were numbered before the injury so I guess this could be certain or ESL

This is shit. I honestly think Jamal can lock down an edge position for us - either centre or backrow - but he needs to be on the field a lot.

Yeah dam. That'd be the end for Idris you'd think

Welcome Marsters to the starting line up..

In terms of nrl it's hard to see if any club would pick him up. Also his mental state would be shattered I could see him retiring

But that's just me. Idk what he's actually like

Bad luck, I was looking forward to seeing what he could do once he got full fitness. I'm sure he'll play next year.

We only bought him on a 1 year deal. Not sure he'll be retained.

I assume he will be with us next year and that is a good thing. I thought that he had an option in his favour for next year which I assume he will use.

You don't take 2 years off from this sport without consequences......

They took a punt on him and it didn't work out...

Thanks Jamal and good luck with your next club...

He is pretty happy go lucky and i think he will soldier on while he still has coin left .
Nice guy who enjoys sharing with his family

Yep - thats him done.
I would expect MCK to come in to replace and if he does a decent job, the position is his.
Idris might be offered another light contract to hang around for next year.
I liked him - and I thought he was starting to play OK but another year off puts him further behind with match fitness and he was struggling as it was.
But with all the new signings coming through for next year, I reckon he'll get pushed out.

Yeah he seems a pretty positive dude but you'd have to have pretty thick skin to not be mentally shattered like he would be right now.

Guess we'll see what happens

Wow we have had some unlucky signings. Apart from Moltzen, I would have to say Ballin + Idris were the more injury prone signings we have made.

Sorry big fella but I don't think we can keep you on for next year
