He is heaps worse than those two. Blair was good once he was moved to the middle of the park. Anasta was terrible but he played for us. Ballin has done nothing.

Anasta is hands down our worst signing, the only positive about him signing was that because he did nothing, Brooks had an opportunity to showcase his talent.

Ballin is a lemon but was still playing reasonably good footy before he blew his knee out at Manly. Anasta was persona non grata with his efforts, or rather lack of. Then has the hide to lay the toe into the club in his media career because one of his TPA's fell through.

Agree with the sentiment. But that wording is way too harsh. It's not his fault his body is shot, he's done everything he can to get back on the field and comes across a solid bloke.

He has to move on, but I don't get the bitterness. I wish him the best of luck after football.

By all reports he has been working with MM and Liddle to improve their game, seems to be helping them.

Its all swings and roundabouts. We signed the injury plagued Scott Prince and he rarely missed a game for us.

We sign Ballin who had rarely been injured and then he can't get on the field here.

The competition is intense for our worst ever buy/player.In addition to Blair & anasta 2 other softcock oxygen thieves vying for the unenviable title as most pathetic buy are Ryan Ohara & Jason cayless!

Conversely the greatest buy is unequivocally the sublime & peerless Gareth Ellis.

Ellis was an outstanding player but never raised any silverware with us.

If we beat the Dragons in that prelim final we win in 2010 because Roosters had nothing in that GF and ultimately overachieved in my opinion

2011 was almost our year as well but we choked f**king hard against nz in that final

It's definitely a toss up between Ellis and Prince though

Ballin was signed for 200k if i remember right so its hardly the worst signing when you have a veteran premiership winning hooker mentoring the young guys with the benefits as clear as day out on the field...add to that the positive influence on tbe whole team and it was relatively little money well spent...well perhaps not well spent but there has been value
