What's good about the Dragons?

1. We have a Half back for next year - Its been a whilst since he have had a real half back running the team around.
2. We have a group of youngsters coming through that will put pressure on the current NRL team.
3. We look likely to be playing most of our home games in our preferred location from next year.
4. Reggis and NRL teams will most likely be playing at the same location from next year - be good to see the seconds team play and who is pushing for NRL spots.
5. McCrone looks to be leaving. I have nothing against him, is not his fault he get selected and 7.
6. The Team are in the top 4, 2 points behind second, I did not think we had a chance of being in the top 8 at this stage.
7. Our recruits this year have been amongst the best - And they have performed
8. The spirit and desire within the team is really positive.
9. When we have guys out recently, we didn't get blown way.
10. Even though we lost Packer for next year, I think we have two your props that will surprise.
11. Our players fitness is much better than last year, we still have the core stream without the oversize muscles.
12. We appear to be well placed with regard to the Salary Cap, I think there is still quite some room I our cap. Other clubs may need rethink 2018.
13. Some of our flaws are been exposed at this stage of the year, such as right side defence, this give Mary&Co the time to address. We can bring M.Cooper for centre wing defence; Soward for tactical kicking and we have 12 weeks to improve.
14. Mary seems to have improved, long way to go on this one.

Anything else?

Love your optimism RvR. Good points backed with fact.

On point 14 re. Mary you are on the money. Where the improvement must come from - team selections (tough decisions around poor form eg. McCrone), bench selections, bench rotation . Fix that and the question marks will slowly fade away. Will that happen though???

And if they do slide the players should be held reasonable just as much as the coaching staff.
The head coach must be accountable first and foremost.
Mary is getting a coaching lesson from the opposition coaches every week now.
They have worked us out and Mary is one dimensional.
I always hope we'll win every game but there are lot of signs from 2016 creeping in.
Parramatta know they have us for speed out wide and that is where they will attack us.
Let's see if Mary can devise a game plan to counter it.

Still better than the no dimensions we had last year. Unfortunately we don't have the team to pull off any other kind of style. If our forwards don't dominate we don't exactly have a jt or slater to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

Just watching Melbourne youngsters doing a number on NQ.
Three 19 year olds in the team playing some scintillating football.
I think we also have players that can inject something more exciting.
I don't know how we can uncover the next Slater or JT if we don't give them a chance.
Why does Bellamy have no hesitation in putting in 3 and 4 youngsters and Mary selects Nightingale at fullback as a safety first?
Bellamy's philosophy is, "if your good enough, you're old enough".
The point is that Mary chooses to be super conservative.
There is a chasm of coaching knowledge and ability between McGregor and the topliners.
That's exactly why we cannot win a premiership under the current coach.
