Mbye and Eastwood 8mil
Morris' upwards of 700k.


I think after the first say 8 rounds in 2018, say we are 3 wins and 5 losses well then I think Madge will be told to go.....

Same with Graham who is 33 next year.....

Souths should stay away completely ......we need to offload our own old head in RF and also have to manage Sutton and GI who are into their final year (s)

Supporters need to stop looking at older players and thinking about them in their best years , especially when they are not now.

Souths have done the right thing with Goodwin . Focus on young players .....
the next great players not the past great players.

As this for this thread , it has become shxx, since folks keeping posting crap wishlists and NOT actual rumours on whom Souths are actually looking at.

A big NO for the twins, at the right price any team would take Graham.

Plenty of you talent coming thru but a cheap experienced player tends to help

Yeah I don't understand the BS about the Burgi getting paid too much. Tom has been very solid and George is getting his mojo back slowly but surely after groin and hip surgery last year.
We've been there or thereabouts in most games this year besides the Manly hiding and our first round game against West, and I believe for the most part our forwards have been solid.
The halfback has been our most disappointing IMO.

It's all about the value of 500k.

Burgess twins are not worth that much especially if you look at the other players that were on 500k or less this year. There's Fifita, Bromwich, Jack De Belin, Mannering, Barnett, McGuire, Leeson Ah Mau, Paul Vaughan.

Basically every prop in the competition are better than the Burgess'. Even Newcastle's prop rotation with the saifiti's is almost better than ours. Our backrow is what has been keeping us in games. Fuimaono, Surgess and Crichton all carry the side in running metres, tackles.

Although I should be fair and say they have been OK the past few games. They're still not anywhere near where they should be but they're getting better each week.

I reckon graham would be a great pickup at the right price. I know Newcastle will throw a castle his way but we should persuade him through the English boys. He is the ultimate competitor and someone we need leading the Burgess twins.

Exactly. It's a lose lose situation for the dogs. They're going to end up paying for people to play at other places. No one is gonna pay the full 800k for Eastwood or the full 1mil for Graham. Whoever did this really f**ked the dogs up.

Backended deals are really banking on success. I can't actually believe they are allowed as you are realistically over the cap for the earlier years.
Obviously it hasn't paid off for the dogs.

I completely agree. They probably planned on offloading more of their roster by now. The only player that would be worth anywhere near their money would be Graham. Mbye 800k? I'm starting to understand why Castle left now it looks like the club's salary cap is a complete mess. Next few years are gonna be hell for the dogs like they have been for Souths.

I really feel for dogs supporters.

It makes no difference to the players they are going to get paid either way. It just depends who pays how much, if I was Graham and Newcastle were offering to take me I would jump at that chance they are a side on the up.
Why waste the last few years of his career fighting it out for the spoon with the dogs when he could be playing finals footy? Financially he won't lose out just as Robbie didn't moving to Souths.

Pretty excited. With a full preseason training besides GI he could be a great Fullback. Then there's AJ who's really shaping up in that position. So many options. We do need to get that one more back though.
