If it's not then Titans shouldn't go any further. What have they won with Taylor there except they are paying for the enormous upside that he has.

A lot of people love to drag out the Ben Hunt figure, but the Dragons insist that it's not in the realms of the 1.2 million per year that is reported.

Clubs that dont have the benefit of tpas or players being homesick have to pay overs to secure young talent.

Trbojevic x 2, DCE, Walker, Tapau etc etc. Good luck with that.

Way to tell half a story. It's been widely reported that they played nearly a million under the cap this season.

You've mentioned their guns yet their first grade 17 is filled with the likes of Sirinen and Uate being paid plenty by their former clubs. Winterstein, Kelly, Wright, Perrett, Fonua Blake and co who'd all be some of the lowest paid players by role in the NRL.

Manly has shedloads of cap space.

Kinda meh, wanted some forwards. I mean, holy shitballs we add Moylan to our backline and it's looking pretty scary but it means jackshit if we are relying on our current pack.

Brett Morris in talks with the Sharks with the Bulldogs would pay out a portion of his contract. However, I do stress this is a rumor.

Dragons considering replacing coach Paul McGregor with either Michael Maguire or Dean Pay. The only catch it came from the Lurker.

Dragons gave McGregor a two year extension, and with a decent half-back next year I'm more inclined to think they are going to take a wait and see approach.

Would like too see McGuire get another coaching gig, he still has something to offer as a coach. Not sure about Pay.

James Maloney reported to be offered a big offer from Warrington Wolves. Maloney in my opinion is too good to be finishing his career in English Superleague. But he has a young family to support, so you can't complain if he accepts the offer.

Doust probably gave the Lurker a 6 pack of Crownies to write this in the hope the great unwashed(supporters)think he is being proactive.

Maloney is a mercenary and who can blame him . . . if the Wolfpack called loud enough he'd pack his snowshoes

Dont bother with the wait-and-see approach, we all know how it will go - our impressive forward pack, bolstered by Graham, will fly out of the blocks early in the season based on enthusiasm and fitness. Hunt will seem a good addition. Then Mary's coaching will start to take effect - plays will become slower and clunkier as they get burnt out because the idiot has no idea how to utilise an interchange bench. Niggling injury will rise. And other teams will realise that it's not that difficult to contain our forwards then destroy our slow-as-f**k backline.

The slide will start around Round 10. By Round 20, we'll either be outside the 8 or heading that way, and Mary will make some low bar comment about only needing to win X number of games to make the 8, because thats a Successful season for him (despite having a killer halves pair, dominant forward pack and suite of young talent at his disposal). Then we will fail to win that number of games due to the culture of accepting mediocrity and the fact that he'd rather play guys on one leg than promote a promising youngster. We'll miss the 8, Mary will cite some random injury as the excuse and then one of the support staff will get fired.

How this guy remains an NRL coach when the likes of Maguire, Tony Smith, Jason Demetriou, Garth Brennan and potentially Des Hasler dont have a head coaching gig next year, I'll never know.

More Moylan to manly gossip doing the rounds...

They have a few forwards that would be worth poaching Winterstein lane

Tom wright could be target too if they got moylan

Matt Moylan rumors continue to persist. I know Ryan Girdler has slammed Penrith suggesting they should come clean with what is really going on.

"The Manly Sea Eagles are rumoured to have upped their bid for Matt Moylan in 2018 by offering a large third party deal as part of his contract."

Pay is very good. He was the Roosters U/20s and Defensive Coach in 2002, he left the club at the end of that season. He was a key part of why the Roosters were that good in 2002 as both grades won their Grand Finals.

And are offering a large TPA... hmmmm. Aren't TPAs supposed to be exclusive of club involvement?

He has an existing TPA that with Penrith that won't be honoured everyone knows that rule is bullshit. Especially for qld clubs when Qld govt is involved
