I disagree. It beat the rest of the field easily last year in a high pressure cup. Got stuck in the backwash of Max Dynamite in 15 and led and folded in the sydney cup which is definitely not the way to ride it ever.

Led and folded. Exactly how it went last year had stuff all in the last 400m. The horse is going a mile worse too. Should have been aimed at the Emirates Stakes

Been to Melbourne once in my life and couldn’t get out of the joint quick enough.

I thought it was a Parmy pretty much everywhere north of Mexico anyways?
Unfortunately I live in the world's most unliveable city, Melboredom and have done so for the past two years.

Sydney born and lived there until my late 20s before moving to the pristine waters of Callala Bay (a part of Jervis Bay) until 2007 when I moved to Bundaberg at the request of the owner of the pussy I loved.

When that shit itself in 2013, another pussy came along so I followed that one to Melboredom in 2015 and have been stuck here ever since. DAMN!

I must look like a lost dog looking for my owner.....

Subject to late scratchings and weather, here are my picks.

In no particular order - the top 6.

Tiberian
Marmelo
Red Cardinal
Johannes Vermeer
Big Duke
Amelie's Star

Roughies

Boom Time
Single Gaze
Cismontane

Going a $120 box trifecta on the top 6 and a nine horse box trifecta on all nine for $504.

If I get up, I'm meeting Lemon in Sydney in a few weeks to shout him a parmy, caviar, lobster, whatever and the best drinks he can pick.

If I don't, he can shout me a Junior Cheeseburger.

Best bet I have on the card is Pedrena in the last, Swampland is ridiculous odds in that race though.

Land of Plenty at $6 is a gift in r3. Finally draws a good gate, should be winning this one comfortably

Single gaze, two miles?

Yay or neigh?
Her run in the caulfield cup was unbelievable. I wouldve said she wouldn't run 2400m but she certainly did there.

Its hard to say. Shes as tough as nails although she has to be with that spastic riding her.

Got 17's for Swapland, she's not that now though.

She's flying this prep crazy odds.

Atm I feel like Red Cardinal @ $20 is real value. This is a horse that's won half his races, has never lost at 3200m and has no issue racing first up on his travels.

Like its odds too, just concerned where it will end up in the run...

I can't split Swampland and Pedrena in that one.
Giving Maurus a go in the 8th and Calanda a nibble in the 9th...not touching anything in races 1-6 today at all.

Melbourne Cup day really makes you realise how tight non-punters are, I'm actually struggling to sell $5 sweeps tickets for the race...

In my head I'm thinking 'jeez that's not even a fraction of what I spend weekly on the Cannington Dogs'.

Then I think maybe its me who has the problem?......no it is them who are out of touch.
