So I found a wallet at the beach this morning. It had an even 5k in it. The driver's license inside said a 72 year old man living at Barrenjoey. I didn't have time to get to his house before work so I dropped it off at the local police station.
So I get a phone call now from said 72 year old dude. He said he is heading overseas tomorrow and I've saved him bundles of grief. He wanted to know my address to send a reward. I told him that Beyond Blue could do more with his money than I can. "Brilliant idea" he said. I'll double the reward and donate today.
I just received a text showing a donation receipt to Beyond Blue for $1000.

I feel less of a cock today than what I did yesterday.

Apparently they can regularly work overtime to ensure trains keep running to timetable at peak times (assume they get compensated for it - as if a public service job with a union backing it wouldnt) .... they claim the new timetable is really bad for em - maybe it is, i dunno ... the new timetable was done for a reason, not just to f**k over drivers

Tomorrow they are basically going to refuse to work overtime ... which means its not possible to operate a peak service ... so they are going to run about 60% of normal services .... which means peak period shit


I dont pretend to understand the issues here ... but f**k me sideways how can anyone expect 6% payrises for 4 years straight for all employees across the board? .... they got offered 3% + $1000 upfront .... i get there are other issues involved .... but f**k me
