New Strategic Plan

Do you seriously think that is what, to the eye, is essentially a training run (AFL ) fits the bill for an Origin type set up ?

Given they invented it before League, yeah. 1989 their Origin pulled 96,000 at the MCG. The AFL ditched their SOO in favour of club expansion, there was no point having a three team Origin with WA, SA and VIC, they also felt it shut QLD and NSW out of the market.

It's hardly a test for a footballer . It's aerobic and running occurs and this is so in other codes. But seriously I can kick and catch on any given day. Try tackling Jason Tomalolo at full throttle and get back to me after your hospital visit!

The chip on your shoulder is embarassing, not liking the sport is fine, spending as much time as possible trying to undermine it, particularly when their strategy and marketing is vastly outpacing RL. As far as writing off their athletes, you realise that reflects poorly on RL given two Maroons players absolutely bombed in the AFL.

One of the great sporting myths! Are you aware that "AFL" as you call it , was originally an off season training run for Victorian cricketers. It's mythical progress has been as a result of an unfettered growth in Victoria that did not have the significant issues rugby league has faced since it's inception with an ugly brother in union doing its best behind the scenes to limit it's popular growth in all sectors of society . Had rugby league not had this significant 'back stabber' in rugby union about, I'm sure crowds of 90000 would be a common sight for this code. Get that one up ya!

What is your relevance to the non publically existent nrl strat plan?

The talent pool is fine for 20 teams.
When you bring up talent pool what you mean is the standard of play will decrease. To me that isn't an argument because we have allowed coaching/professionalism to reek havoc with the playing standard/spectacle anyway. The NRL "gameplay" would actually be better with worse players scattered into the mix. What ever happened to missed tackles and line breaks. Remember those pre-professionalism. Bring them back.
Nope.
Dont care what you find an argument or not.
The talent pool is not big enough.

You just aren't thinking deeply enough. You deepen the pool by expanding to Perth and NZ.

From my experience as a young footballer many moons ago: When word got out new NRL clubs were being planned a significant increase in player numbers occured.

No player base in Perth. And NZ top quality players will pick union over league.
So no.

Very negative M2D2? I thought you held the code of rugby-league in higher regard than that!? And I don't think you are generally appreciative that many Maories / Islanders love the more confrontational contact aspect clearly more evident in rugby league? Depends if you really support the code or not I spose!?

Play union, win everything, be treated as a god.
Play league. Lose alot.

Haha. We have a rahrah troll! Wondered about your stance? No wonder the negativity toward the better code! At least you have identified your stance.

Really? I thought it died through lack of interest and small crowds. The 1989 game was an exception

I remember the ads on 7 trying to drum up enthusiasm for the "Alliance" - Qld/NSW/Tas/ACT/NT

To me it just shows how parochial the game is. Must be the only sport where the peak competition is basically inter-suburban

I see the union fans have lobbed up in numbers for the "Shit Shield" gf replay. Mind you I've lowered my stance and sporting tv choice standards by mentioning and briefly viewing that 5th grade standand crap.

I suggest you ask yourself that question!? Why are you on a rugby league website! ?
Are you all there? I mean you seem to be missing some core requirements to function.
Gone to one union game since 2000. Not a fan of it. Doesnt change the fact that in new zealand, its a union first league second country and adding a second team there is height of stupidity and it wont improve the talent pool.
But now im a union troll and youve gone on a f**king rant about something.
Jesus christ these alt accounts are f**king geniused.

Stallion is imploding! This is not a training run! When I was playing many moons ago the marketing people said this would happen! Too much negative imploding!

There must be lads in Perth who want to play a physical game. And there are stacks of rugby players in NZ that would love to play professional RL. Whatever the national rugby comp is (below Super 12s) you could pilfer.

So your response was being facetious? My apologies if that's so. M2D2. Still think you have underestimated the attractiveness of rugby league.
