This origin player thing is very subjective. For instance some of the players Daley selected had no right to be called origin players Jamie buhrer anyone? Then you have players like Brown or Gutho who have enough quality but offer more club value because they don’t get picked. I’m not saying anything we don’t all know I just don’t get the fascination with needing “origin players”. We need good quality players who can all be paid for no more than the salary cap, which we must come to grips with is less money then some other clubs get to spend

I'd rather four fringe origin players than four origin players.

There's f**k all difference between a bloke like Gutho, who doesn't get picked, and a bloke like Dugan who does. In that example I'd suggest the better player is the one who missed out...

Yep. Better for your cap, as well...you can sign up guys who are always just missing out for a lot less than guys who can call themselves "rep players"
