Thread title should read:

Fat, unfunny, attention seeking wanker announces end to career that was based on hanging on to others coattails.
This X100000000, what a painful fat unfunny try hard he is.

The last few years he has been trying way to hard, just trying to land a gig on the telly after retires. How about you fade away into obscurity like you did at the Abaramba lounge????

I don't mind old mate Sam. In his prime he was one of the better back rowers.

Some of his "jokes" were lame but at least he's authentic and added some personality to a mostly mundane group of players.

He really played on way to long but was a very good player in his prime. Loved his virginity joke.

I think he may have played too long in a sense he is no longer in his prime. But there are plenty other players who stayed on for a long time who never had a prime so in that sense he probably was entitled to have a twilight period in his career before calling it quits.

He announced it last Saturday against the Raiders, with about 10 to go he ran it as hard as he could into the Faders defence.

The easily dispossed him and left him clutching air. You could see his soul crushing live on TV

That was just awkwardly unfunny. The Halle Berry jungle fever joke was good though. Should have ended with it, an oldy but a goodie.

One club legend and expert rustler of jimmies, a marketable personality, played hard and never backed down, what a wonderful and inspiring example of manhood.

Thanks and congrats Sam on a wonderful career that jealous wankers will always quibble about. The mark of a man isnt always the quality of his detractors.
