Hang in There

I want to take a moment to appeal to all the fans, like myself, who live and breathe this club, and get their hopes dashed so often by this game like they were today. I pleaded for the team to fire up before this match and instead it was as if they said 'here you go Roosters, you take this one'.

I just want to say I feel your pain boys and girls. Even if we have to now live through another rebuild and be tortured by the slow demise of McGregor which could be an even more drawn out saga. I think we can expect to have many more of our weeks ruined but just know you are not alone. There are bigger things in life than footy, but I take these things hard especially when we get tantalised by what could be by the current coach. I feel happy to know that I am not the only one that has the endure being a Dragons supporter like times like these. Hang in there. One day we will return to be mighty once more.

Nice.

I'm happy with every aspect of my life. Except the team I support.
I genuinely feel for the people whose life revolves around this train wreck.

Hang in there yourself mate. This is a tough team to support.

Such a shame that your sincere thread has been threadjacked at the first turn.

Fortunately or unfortunately I have been in UK and Croatia for the passed 8 weeks and have been unable to watch any games just glimpses of highlights....and by the sounds of things and tbe scores would indicate we are not travelling well.....and Ive been around long enough to know that performances like today can really cause supporters to just give up and become totally disillusioned, frustrated with the team the coach and whoever.....it comes from years of watching our teams promising so much early and delivering little when it comes to the pointy end of the season....but having said all that Im still not giving up on the team in 2018.....ive looked at the remaining draw for all the teams still in the mix and we still can put our mark on this comp.......I know most will say BSE we admire your loyalty and enthusiasm etc but we are gone....well I dont happen to suscribe to that theory....yes we have some issues with the team and coach but its to late now to make wholesale changes..1 or two I agree.....but hang in there....we didnt field 5 Origin players and 2 pommie international because we arnt good enough....we are good enough make no mistake.....Souths and Penrith were very very lucky to have won this round against lowly placed teams and no one is writing them off.....remember injuries to key players the bounce of the ball, forward passes, knock ons and bad decisions by officials can be the difference between winning and losing irrespective of what the score ends up.....the semis can be a great leveller dont matter who you play, so for mine im hanging in there you never know when your team is going to be in this position again

Love your optimism but I suspect your blood shot eyes explain it...

Mate I know what you are saying, and really it is true - things can change quickly in a week or two of this comp. If we could return to our play from the start of the year then it would be a different story but its as if Storm and Roosters have just waited for the moment to start really playing red hot footy. The McGregor factor is the sticking point for me, and I don't have to reiterate what is meant by that.

Yep i agree never been a fan of Mary from day one an still arnt.....doesnt have to many ideas when things go pear shape......but semis are a great leveller as I said...if Storm play Roosters in the final stages then one of them have to go....anyhow thats my opinion

Well, I thought we’d finish the season 4 from 6. I had today as a loss.

We’ll beat the Warriors next week and lose 1 more game after that.

This should get us to 36 points and hopefully in the top 4.

From there anything can happen, especially if we can manage a double chance.

I used to hope for another 11 in a row , in 2010 was happy with 2 in a row , now I'm just happy for 1 in a row.

Exactely....look im as disappointed as the next supporter after todays result but teams like the Roosters and Souths have a harder road to the finals than we do....apparently Souths were very lucky to get up yesterday and so were Penrith.after getting flogged the week before...2 weeks ago The Tigers flogged the Rabbitoes and The Sharks shouldnt have won against the Raiders......Im the first to admit we arnt playing well and theres room for enormous improvement but lets not slit our throats just yet

BSE
The big problem is all the other contenders despite having had blips along the way, all have had games in recent weeks where they show incredible strike power in sustained bursts.
We look like a brown’s cows and have so for many weeks and showing no signs of any cohesive team work that will produce points
Again today 2 tries from individual play and yet when we had good field position the team work was abysmal and the play broke down.
We are lucky that we have some players that do individual things well on occasions otherwise it would be a whole lot worse.

I don't believe any game is safe from now until the end of the year.
Especially the away games.

As I say mate Im still overseas, so really havnt seen and absorbed the atmosphere and feel of how we are travelling this time of year, tbo my assumptions are based on what Ive read and the highlights Ive seen of ours and other teams performances.....besides the fact that Mr McGregor is clueless when it comes to structure, set plays, having plan B and C when A is not working and having a team ready for game day, surely we have enough experience and talent in the side to produce a better effort than our blokes are producing week in week out......I made some comments on here recently about Bellamy and his Storm teams approach to the game......you can see it in their eyes right from the kick off of their desire and committment to do well and its still there after 80 min win or lose ....most times I dont see that in our blokes....anyway mate I dont have an answer besides another coach but as I say Im not chucking in the towel just yet
