Sounds like we might be without Watson and Lee for this game. Our depth will be tested. I’m thinking Lino in for Watson but not sure what we might do on the left wing. Maybe Sione or Moga into left centre and Hunt to wing? I wouldn’t even be against having Mann on the wing and leaving Hunt at centre given he’s been really solid there all season and has a good combo with Ponga.

If Mann ends up in the starting side at 5/8 or elsewhere then Buhrer will need to come onto the bench to cover 9 if Levi needs a spell or gets injured.

I'd prefer to have as little disruption as possible but I dont think Moga is ready yet.? I'd prefer to keep Lino well away from first grade if possible, besides a chip into the in goal I've seen nothing that fills me with confidence

Watson out - Mann in

Buhrer to bench

Lee out - ....what's this Musgrove kid like anyone know?.might be a good opportunity to blood him in first grade on the wing?

I reckon we'll go Mann at 5/8. Toohey has been talking up Mann at 5/8 with Watson off the bench. I reckon the combinations might be there.
Buhrer off the bench for sure.
Maybe Moga at centre and push Hunt out or go Sione at left centre - he's played there before.

Season defining game - Win, will likely be tied on points in the eight and get a free shot at Roosters before entering the bye round. Lose? Grim.

15 more games (plus the bye) - so 30 points up for grabs.

We need to win at least 10 of our next 15 games to make the 8 at 30 points.

of the 15 games 7 are at home and 8 are away

We play the Roosters x 2 , Storm x 1 and Rabbits x 1 = 4 games we're most likely to lose.+ another 4 games against teams currently in the 8.

Not in the top 30 so can't play anyway. Ditto kiah cooper

What does it take for a player to be elevated to a Top 30 contract? Can it be done this week in time for the game or is there a longer lead time?

Nathan Ross was in our Top 30 and has been medically retired. I assume we now have two spots free. Being very thin in a specialist position before a must-win game seems the right time to use one.

Understand Ross retired but salary is still included in cap but does/can he be replaced in top 30, if so if Moga is not suitable replacement for Lee then i would bring Cooper up in 30 and play him, has gone well for the little I have seen.

DRAGONS V KNIGHTS, 2PM

— The Dragons are scoring the equal third most points in the first half (10.4 per game) and are conceding the third fewest points in the same time (7.3 per game). However, they are conceding the second most points in the second half (13.3 per game) and scoring the fourth fewest points (7.9 per game).

— The Knights will look to score at least 22 points for a fourth straight game, something they haven’t done since Rounds 13-19, 2015 when they did so for five straight games.

— The Knights are tackled 31.1 times in their opponent’s 20, fourth most, but have struggled to score needing 17.5 tackles before a try, the third worst behind the Panthers and Bulldogs.
