Journalists/Commentors with credibility?

I was just wondering, considering that most of the threads on this section of the forum are generally critical of journalists, that who of us consider to be (generally) credible RL journalists? (Or commentators).
Almost every post in this section is negative, and for good reason due to the standard of the majority of rugby league media articles, commentary and broadcasts that we are subjected to.

Off hand, I can think of a few.

1. Steve Mascord. Just said things how they were and didn't feel the need to sensationalize stuff.
2. Even though he's not a journalist, Roy Masters goes ok at times although he's going a bit senile. His articles I find hard to read because they jump all over the place and don't flow with his thoughts. Eventually, he get's his point across, but it's messy. At least he generally supports the game. And, he hates AFL.
3. Sterlo. 'Nuff said. Forever the professional. (Once again though, not a journalist).
4. David Morrow used to be excellent on the ABC and still isn't too bad, but it's sad seeing him dragged down by the CTT on that rag of a station 2GB.
5. Andrew Moore goes ok on the ABC these days.
6. Dan Ginane (on MMM and now Fox) I reckon also goes ok as a commentator and general RL radio host.

I'm sure there's some I've missed, and I'm sure some of my list some of you will disagree with, but, I just thought I'd try and put some positivity into the media thread.
Surely in the media section of LU, we can actually post some good media as well.
Please don't turn this post into a shit fight argument. Save that for the Fight Club.

I'm hoping this will be generally a positive thread where positive RL stories and opinions can be posted.

Unleash.

Suity.

Vossy, Sterlo(just keep him away from Origin selections), Morrow, Moore, Elliott(a really good footy brain).
I really enjoyed the days when Peter Wilkins called on ABC. Whatever happened to him?

Not journalists as far as I know but I like the little I've seen of Jimmy Smith and Ryan Girdler. Talk straight and don't blow wind up the players asses generally, unlike most on air. Probably why they are "minor" players on the scene, because they don't play the game.

Warren Boland was a terrific commentator in the 80s. Intelligent man and loved his footy. Very good player in his day.

Yep all of the above. Mascord is a bloody legend. Had a beer with him a couple of years ago. Likes his piss.
Yeah Mascord is about as close to a guy who'd hang around this forum as you'd find in the journo ranks. He's just a punter who loves his league (and his rocknroll)... The best thing about him is he just loves the game and even when he left Fairfax to join those twats at News Ltd, he didn't become a News stooge and get all matey matey with those tossers there. No surprise he didn't last too long at News.

Sad really - compare how much Mascord knows about league with someone like James Hooper... It's like comparing The Beatles and 5 Seconds of Summer.... And yet Hooper is all up in my shit when I turn on Fox League or Triple M, pretending he knows something about the game by calling everyone by their nicknames in his gravelly you-beaut aussie cobber voice.... Mascord could take a dump with more league insight than the likes of those News stooges...

Is that the title? Wouldn't doubt it. Years ago he used to have a blog where he'd just post league stuff as well as reviews of gigs he had been to... A man of my own heart...
