Hull FC appear to have signed Manu Ma’u from Parramatta.

The back-rower is off contract this season, and the Sun reports that the Black and Whites have made a bid for his services.

The 30-year-old Kiwi international has played 104 games for the Eels since his debut and has made 15 offloads this season.

Hull have also signed Mahe Fonua for 2020, and have been linked to Ligi Sao and Tevita Satae

If true, we will need to look for an edge player or 2 for 2020. If Manu, Gower, Moeroa all leave we are pretty short of experience/depth there. We wouId only have lane, Marata and potentially salmon as options with NRL experience and maybe Davey / Salesi as depth

If he's off contract then we arent really letting him go. More like he's tellling us to get f**ked. But in that article, it only says they have made a bid for his services. I would be surprised if no other NRL club at least inquired about him.

Rumours around Holbrook to Dogs or Titans. The current St Helens Coach has them 8 points clear in their minor premiership after a strong year in 2018. I really hope hes smart enough to not go to Tweed Heads. The Dogs could be a good fit for him.
Looks an opportunity lost by our beloved Eels. Would love him in the B&G.

EELS FAN FAVOURITE ON WAY OUT

Former Parramatta fan favourite Bevan French is set to quit the NRL and move to England.

A prolific tryscorer in his early days with the Eels in 2016-17, French is out of favour with the Eels and languishing in the Canterbury Cup with the Wentworthville Magpies.

The Wigan club has made French an offer for next season and the 23-year-old could make the move even before then.

French could be a sensation in England with his pace and evasive skills, especially playing outside another new signing: former Rooster and Sea Eagle Jackson Hastings.

Dogs only resigned Pay this year. After a poor start. Nothing has changed there. Bellamy couldn't coach that roster to a finals berth.
