I do not know what happened at the hearing , however can only guess that the Defence had one sentence which moved the decision makers.

Well yeah, they haven’t punished a bloke for clobbering a guy in the head... but at least they also allowed said concusses bloke to remain on the field.

The concussion class action lawsuit must love the NRL.

surely no one's surprised. As I said before , this year has a smell of 2014 about it and the NRL will do anything for their love children. Lets just hope they don't rub all other sides out and the scum get to kick off to no one again and claim a victory against the grass on the other side.
Once a scab team always a scab team.

So Moylan still can't sleep properly because of concussion, something else must have happened to him given Sam's tackle wasn't that bad.

This has got to be the most whacked out season in regards to judiciary inconsistencies. Completely random.
I dunno. Seems like the NRL has a very competent and thought-through process

NRL really is an odd organisation.

Talk up about how they care about player welfare and reducing risk of head injury, and then proceed to allow a clearly concussed player on the field (only to then subsequently be experiencing the symptoms three days later and missing the next weeks game) AND do not suspend the player that blatantly tackled him high.

It gets worse when the charged player has an extensive history with the judiciary.

The NRL and Todd Greenberg couldn't care less if players suffered concussion and long lasting symptoms. It's all about entertainment. It helps the marketing push for this weekends game against the Storm to have Burgess playing as well as giving them more chance of meeting their primary KPI, close matches.

You’d hate to think that, but that is exactly what it looks like.

If this indeed true, the NRL wouldn't have banned the shoulder charge. If they are only caring about entertainment, they will suffer when the lawsuits come flying in.

As for Burgess giving Souths more chance to win... He has been detrimental to them this season, IMO.
