Need to get to at least 400 to put England under immense pressure.

We're definitely not in a position at the moment to unleash Starc/Cummins/Hazlewood.
I think 350 should be enough to not lose but wtf do I know I’m no Tim Paine.

With Smith in this match, absolutely no way will Paine repeat the same mistakes regarding defensive field placements. That's where we missed Smith's on-field presence in the dying moments of the Headingley test. He definitely would've got into Paine's ear had he been playing.

Has Archer become the reincarnation of Siddle? Dropping down to 77mph bananas. Maybe he's become vegan as well!

Smithy may as well bat out the rest of the series. Two draws is enough to retain the ashes. Just let him keep batting till he runs out of partners.

Well, I wasn't calling for a declaration lol. All Im saying is that 300 is a good enough 1st innings total to feel safe about going into bowl against this mob with our attack, now that the selectors have seen the light and opted for a lefty in Starc. 350 is a par score for Old Trafford in 1st innings, but I'm confident we're gonna roll these koontz with the ball so 300 was minimum requirement, everything else from here is cherry on top.
