Skipping training and not interested: Cronulla Sharks tell Josh Dugan some hard truths

https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...p/news-story/187ef73e9dc7d246b7953b2678a2aa97

I support Bomber and Moss 100% on their stance.

Duges has been pissing teammates off for a while now with his attitude - and not just over this summer. If it's hurting the team, then sulk away in reggies Josh, until you inevitably head out the door.

As for this new independent medical advice - it's obviously a ploy to maximise his payout.
There is zero chance the NRL will approve medical retirement.
And his agent has now destroyed any chance of Duges getting another NRL gig with this fracture/arthritis stunt - despite what Reefy tells us from his daily phone calls with Bellamy and Trent !

I heard back in October that Bomber wanted to clear out the "dead wood".
Duges will be the first to fall ... Moyza better take note.

It's now at the point where you just have to get him out of the joint anyway you can. I suspect he will be at another club with us paying most of the freight.
A mate owns a cafe up on sunny coast.
Has a lot of footy blokes come thru on the hols.
Sticky was there not long ago.

The year we bought Duges an senior trainer from the drags came through and told him how happy mary was to unload Duges.
Absolutely ecstatic.
The biggest issue?...coming off injured when the whole club knew he wasn't.

I’m not a fan of Darcy but at least he takes the field. If it looks like getting below 20, the rugby league player imposter just dons the tracksedo and cosies up in the coaches box.

I'll take all these stories with a grain of salt until someone more credible than Hooper drops something.
Dugan was our best last season, got a lot of media hate and put his body on the line to prove them all wrong.
If this crap is true, I hope it can be all settled before the new season starts.

Interesting that he has instructions to not do any work for 6-10 weeks.

By then half of his wage for the year will have been paid by us. Get another deal done before the June 30 cut off.... cut price deal that is.
im not saying that. What Im saying is that he has seen doctor who would be a million times bettter than anything our club could dish up & he has told him to stay off it.
Is this the entire story & as usual the factions are doing their under mining?
I was at games last year & I heard the contact at the ground when Dugan ran. That is not a player that goes off if he is unijnured. Ive never heard such absolute shyte.
Is this more of a case of factions & less about Dugan?

Rubbish ... his agent has searched for a rent-a-specialist who (surprise suprise!) has found a different opinion, as a blatant tactical move for negotiations. It's not hard to get a different opinion if you ask enough specialists. Blatant tactical ploy to get Duges out of the hole he's dug himself. Unfortunately for Josh & his agent, they have now wrecked his chances of getting another NRL gig, and there is zero chance of the NRL granting a medical retirement as the alleged injury is not a new one - so won't fit the criteria.

That'd be a NO ... it's all about Duges' attitude, and the destablising effect on the team.
It's clear the coaching staff have had enough, and most of the players have had enough.

Basically only contract option now is super league.

All Dugan had to do was train hard, and he would have made first grade as a winger, he should be happy to make firsts.

This new cant train, he dosent want to play for Jets, another bad attitude sign

Sounds like whatever way it goes, he won't be in firsts at the start of the year. If Ron has a blinder, which there is every chance he will, Doogs might find it hard to get back in.

Im a fan of Duges and what he does on the field for us but if even half of this stuff is true he can go elsewhere.
Saw all the Sharks foxtel promotions highlights in yhe last 2r hours, no sign of Dugan anywhere. Mulitalo is in there though, I'm sure Ronnie will make the most of his opportunity. He deserves to be in firsts anyway.

Ya kidding right ?

He's gone and found a Dr that is saying what he wants to hear. Search long enough and you always find one.
