To those who are saying why did it take 6 months for the result, there are only 30 WADA Accredited Laboratories on the planet that can conduct the tests and operations at some of them have been effected by COVID-19.

If you doubt me, check it out yourself here - https://www.wada-ama.org/sites/defa..._accredited_laboratories_en_-_may_14-2020.pdf

One lab in Australia (in Ryde).

COVID-19 probably shouldn't have had an impact on this since the sample was taken in November. The Xmas/New Year period, and bushfires (since smoke shutdown hospitals, it would be safe to assume labs were closed to ensure no contamination) were likely the key factors.

It's also important to note, testing isn't as simple as the quick drug driving tests down on RBT. This case would be specifically onerous as there were multiple metabolites detected and analysis would have been complex.

Shayna Jack had around a 4 week turnaround for her test and result. So why did it take so long for Xerri's novmber sample to be tested and have results come back.

  • A world championships probably has more staffing for testing.
  • It was not conducted during Xmas/NY period
  • It was not during bushfires that would have potentially contaminated the lab.
  • There a multiple WADA accredited labs in Asia. Sydney is home to the only one in Oceania.

How anyone can formulate in their heads that this is some kind of conspiracy against the Sharks, astounds me. Like really? You think anyone, outside of Sharks fans, actually give a flying f**k about your club? To the point ASADA would actively do things to hurt their image? It's just complete and utter insanity.

I honestly think the delay could be about catching more cheats or suppliers as well as the xmas fires and the pandemic. Dropping this bombshell which would alert anyone that xerri was potentially involved with in getting his roids or using them with. They took his phone so they are clearly looking for something else. they dont need anything else to get Xerri, a positive test will do him in, so what else are they looking for?

They will likely use his phone as evidence of sourcing the drugs himself to eliminate the possibility of any claims of ignorance, etc. It's building a case to prosecute. It could be the difference between a 2 year and a 4 year ban.

Imagine finally getting your chance at a life long dream and allegedly doing this in the same year.

I remember seeing a video of him when he found out he was set to make his debut and he couldn't contain his emotion. Just 8 months later and he's gone and ruined it.

If true, there might be questions over his pre-NRL years..maybe he did everything he could to make the big time?

Yes, it might not be a stretch at all that this is not the first offseason he has looked for a bit extra help.

He should get 3 years but the last 18 months he is on parole. He gets to play but half his wage goes to charity.

Out of interest does the NRL pay ASADA to test their players?

Yes. It is a requirement of being recognised by the Australian Sports Commission that they have a testing policy that complies with WADA and "acknowledge ASADA’s functions and powers, and facilitate the execution of those functions and powers as reasonably required by ASADA".
