In a normal world, you'd have played some more away from Syd too. So just accept your privilege.
Have a look at the draw. The only difference for us has been having to go 1/4 of the way to Canberra to play our home games. We got lucky with a pretty travel friendly draw this year.

This is all predicated on the logic that Penrith, Kogarah, Parramatta, Manly and Campbelltown is a monolith. Since we’re lazily labelled as ‘Sydney’, people who have never read a book thinks Penrith is just as ‘Sydney’ as other clubs hence when we travel to another stadium it’s like we never travelled at all. It’s the same logic that morons use when defending the nsw gov for putting together its horrific stadium plan.

This sounds like an alternate universe where the Bronco's had to play another team in Brisbane somewhere.

If Brisbane was like Sydney then Ipswich and Logan would be considered a part of it. No other city on earth has such an ‘expansive presence’ like ‘Sydney’.

You’ve played 3 at home with 5 to come.
Penrith has had 2 with 4 to come.
Stop whinging and trying to use travel as an excuse!

By the way, Penrith LGA has had a lot less than the 113 cases in the ACT.

Repeat. One team has played 4 games in their home city all season.

One team has left their home city once this season.

Oh well. When the 'Riff get their bubble burst I'll see you in the Sticky thread ;)

Whinging about how unfairly you're treated worked as a team motivational ploy against the Roosters, why wouldn't they try it again? We really shouldn't be offended, it is aimed at their own players, not the opposition. You can't blame them. They'll never run the Roosters down and make the top 4 if they can't get the points here.

One team has left their home city once this season.

Our home city is the City of Penrith.

Penrith have played just 2 games in their home city all season.
Don’t you realise that Penrith is a city in its own right? Campbelltown, Parramatta, Kogarah and Brookvale are not in Penrith City!

One team has no other teams in their city. The other team has 8 other teams in their city. What the f**k do you think is going to happen?
This isnt a new phenomenon.
In any case I'm sure Warriors, Cowboys & Storm fans are sending tiny little violins express post to Canberra as we speak.

You’ve played every game in your home city of Sydney too so stop complaining.

Of course I'm not that dense. But thats how it rolls if you are a club from Sydney. Given better than half the teams are based here thats where we will play more games. My point about Parra was they have had games at their home stadium. Our home games were at Campbeltown or 1/4 of the way from Penrith to Canberra.

Surely you guys arent that dense to cry about a regional team having to travel more than city based teams? If it's so terrible you could always join a comp with all those other places near Canberra. Monaro & Collector would have NRL ready teams surely?

Jesus man
You can just simply say "yeah, this has worked out nicely for us, we can only play the draw given to us" and keep it moving
Embarrassing shit.

I pretty much did in one of the posts. I've got f**k all to whinge about given our position. To suggest we are only in this position due to a blessed draw is pretty insulting to be fair.

The panthers are where they are because they're a damn good and talented football team. No rational person is doubting their credibility
But they've be kissed on the dick by the scheduling gods where as the raiders got the pointy end of the pineapple... no one is at fault about that, it is what it is, but the Raiders pointing out the disparity is stating a clear and obvious fact, not whinging.

And we're entitled to make noise about it. It's been very unfair to some clubs.

Draw has been relatively simple last few years. However it wasn't easy for Penrith this season. Start of this year we were hoping to scrape through with 4-5 from the first 10 games.

Canberra are a good outfit. They won't win a premiership without Hodgson however they have looked alright without him there.

Predicted we would lose last week and we didn't. We tore Manly a new arsehole. If they play anything like last week it will be a comfortable victory. Or maybe we will finally lose a game of football.

You guys along with the other one team regions cop that every year though. Same as we get f**ked with home finals. Not that that has been particularly relevant to us for the most part. ha ha.

So because it happens all the time it makes it fair? And we should just shut the f**k up and accept our lot? Come on now.

THis covid season has been particularly difficult for us. What other club in the league was forced to travel 3hrs + for home games?

It's the poor NZ Warriors first, by a long way, maybe Melbourne in the running for second and us. Those are the clubs who have been really impacted by this.

It's all understandable, we had to do what we had to do to get the competition back on track. It is what it is. But one of these teams this week have spent 12./13 travelling at best 40 minutes, the other has been disrupted beyond anyone would think was acceptable in any normal season.

So maybe just shut the f**k up about "Ricky whinging" or "Ricky getting Don to whinge" and just appreciate the fact your club hasnt had to deal with this the way others have. The clubs that have bore the brunt of his have STFU for most of the year and only now are starting to point out the unfairness. Feels like its a time for you to get back in your damn box to be honest

How do you fix it though? If there was a solution that wasnt being looked at I could get the angst. But at the moment you may as well be whinging that you wish your dick was larger. It is what it is. If you want a shoulder to cry on re your scheduling on FTA I'm here for you all the way, my shout for 3 ply tissues with aloe. That is something that can be fixed. Short of dragging Canberra to the outskirts of Campbeltown your travel will always suck.
