I take anything Paul Murray says with a grain of salt. I agree with plenty he offers but there are times where I feel he loses his head and toes the party line despite evidence and logic.

That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if there was foul play. It’s arguably been part of every US election.

I reckon the amount of dodgy shit would increase with the volume of postal votes. How could it not?

Sportsbet have paid out on Biden so if Trump ends up winning it, does it mean it was rigged towards the Republicans?

Sometimes shit just doesn’t go the way everyone expects (take Trump’s first election result for example).

However, I remember reading about the ‘Red Mirage’ and the likelihood of the Democrats having a strong postal vote (the Blue Shift) prior to the election. Biden himself seemed confident on election night.

No it would just mean they got it massively wrong twice. However that hasn't happened yet.
My point is that if we knew about this then why weren't people mentioning it when everyone was saying Trump has basically won? They weren't saying it because they didn't expect the postal votes to be so heavily in Biden's favour. But now it's all like, yeah we knew this all along. Bullshit.

We are now told that because polls are strongly turning against the Democrats over the last few days — with Joe Biden plunging while Trump is rising among unexpected groups such as Latinos — the Democrat puppetmasters are leaning toward their nuclear option.

The other thing i posted about attempts to register dead people has an electoral type dude talking to CBS news .... i dunno, maybe they made that up ... but it wouldnt surprise me if its true

I prefer to look at each thing and draw a conclusion than rely on some made up fact check thing tell me to blindly ignore everything

I agree with this, I don’t think people expected it to swing as much as it has. However, this is the first time widespread postal voting has been utilised (at least to this extent) so there was no precedent to go off. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything sinister has occurred though.

Yeah i am a bit on the fence about it

I believe there are votes that probably satisfy the rules to be counted ... and i think trump is talking shit in saying you must stop counting on the night

But i also think its a system that has more potential rorting holes than you can poke a stick at

How could it?

It is the most vulnerable point of the system. As Avenger said, anonymity reduces the chances of getting caught, which scuppers deterrence as a security control. On top of that postal vote fraud is far more scalable - a single fraudster can send a lot more dodgy votes in the post than they can turning up to fraudulently vote in person. I also think there would be increasingly reduced oversight of the vote counters in the days following the official election day, as excitement wears off and fatigue sets in. A given vote counter seeing a suspicious ballot for their preferred candidate is more likely to give it a pass than one for the opposition. Increased fatigue and reduced oversight will increase this.

If fraud is going to occur that's the most likely place, though Trumps' histrionics will go some way to countering that.
