Bulldogs are recruiting for 2022, not just 2021. Most of their roster is gone at the end of next year. I don’t think they’re going to sign all those guys, but they’ve got serious money in 2022.

I understand that, but you still have to fill a roster whether it is 28 or 30 players.

So even the dozen or more such as the Chris Smiths still have to be replaced like for like and basically on the same money. Only players 26-30 currently earn the minimum wage so to speak.

After what they have spent already I just don’t seen how they can accomodate one or more of our three players we are talking about whether next season or 2022. I just don’t see it.

Again i re-iterate from my perspective if we had managed our roster situation better we wouldn’t be having these discussions.

Something has gone seriously wrong that after losing or releasing Tamou, Hetherington and well at least half a dozen other players either mid season or at season’s end and we appear still no closer to locking up those we needed to keep.

Whether you were in the Gus Gould camp or not it would not have happened under his watch.

$40 a week on Tolls

As I have said on a number of occasions, I am optimistic the current brains trust will get the job done. I truly hope so for our futures sake.

The only point I make I think our former General Manager would have been much more pro active and got the business done that our current brains trust clearly hasn’t.

We really should not be in this predicament. It is an indictment on what was a great season and the fact we are our having these discussions.

Mansour offered a two year deal with the Tigers, but holding out for a third

Laurie has signed a two year deal with the tigers, so far his release request for 2021 has been denied

Exactly play for a team that has been down the bottom of the ladder for the last 5 years. Or a team that has managed to find the finals most years except for 2.

wait what? Jack was one of our best in pre season, that requires resilience. His issue is his aggression and trying too hard to make an impact with every single little play.

Hetherington is a tough as nails, Cartwright is softer than pudding.

Don't think it's smart paying so much for a centre.

Weird keeping Burton on as a centre for 12 months unless they think they can keep him.

Jacks got more heart than Bryce ever had. He is going to be terrific for the Bulldogs, sadly, just coming into his best years.
